I've been checking out your Ren reactions and I like your style and sense of humor. I've never heard this one before and I loved it. I can relate to "Hold On" because I've been dealing with chronic pain since 2009. Watching reactions and music in general is my escape so I appreciate reactors like you. He wrote, recorded and produced this during the worst of his illness and was bedridden. He'd occasionally have a day when the pain wasn't quite so chronic and his mind was relatively clear. On such days he'd try and cram in as much music as possible, as he never knew how long it would be until he was capable of doing so again, if ever... All of which adds extra poignancy to the lyrics. He really was in pain, couldn't sleep, was in despair etc
Appreciate the backstory. Ren has been through a lot based on what everyone been telling me.
25 was the depths of his illness. Developed a stutter and tcs from his psychisis and constant pain. He has sung this a coypke times recently( he is 33 now) i see a little smile when he gets to the part if writing a whole new story. A boy full of hope, a boy full of glory . It was when he edge ahead if the Rolling Stones in preorder sales. A whole new story ❤❤❤
I’m newer to Ren, but from what I can see, it seems like he is doing much better than he was a few years ago
@@RetroQuinReacts most certainly better than 2015! He keeps himself very fit and strong, stopped smoking and after the album drop will step into some heavy antibiotic treatment which will kick his butt for awhile. But he's ready for it now.
