This video was so relaxing. I love looking at cards and find myself just looking at the art of play website just to enjoy the art work. I treated myself to a deck earlier in the year finally and I’m glad I did. Great video!!!
Absolutely agree on the L'Object cards. These are amazing and fairly priced. I love the pip cards and the face cards. It will be hard to distinguish the various cards in hand. But they are beautiful. I'll order the L'Object cards after I order the Cabinetarium cards!
I do play regularly with these schmancy cards. Hermes, Smythson, Tiffany -They are delightful. Did you leave out Smythson? tons of fun!! Also bridge is always played with double decks. They come in a pair with slight color or pattern differences. Bridge sets- always a pair!
I can't believe I just watched dan and dave doing card reviews, would love to see more such as this one or doing other stuff like history of playing cards and learning other people's moves, I am happy nonetheless
This was an awesome umboxing video. Was great watching all those decks being opened, seeing the packaging, presentation and everything. Super fun. I'm definitely going to be looking into getting that last deck. That thing was incredible! Thanks for the great video! Looking forward to seeing more from you guys! Keep up the solid work!
This just shows that price doesn’t always equal quality or value. Loved the video. It would be cool to see you guys do one with different kickstarter decks from a specific year. Love the card videos, love the website! Keep up the good work!
I would LOVE to have an Art of Play shirt like the one you have on! Please have them made. (And receiving any one of the free decks would be nice too. 😉)
I love your videos. Recently, had them pop up on my feed. I am proud that ya'll are based in San Diego like myself. Keep up the hard work and I appreciate your RUclips content.
Absolutely love your cards. I'm just starting out learning some magic but I do collect cards. I love the history of playing cards and yes if you know anything about cards you can tell Dan and Dave don't put out ordinary decks. You get what you pay for.
Fun video but I can't help but imagine all the great decks that could have been purchased from you guys for that amount of money! I love SO MANY of your creations. Thanks for doing what you do! It was the Ultimate Deck that got me hooked on card collecting.
Love this show, I am very happy to see you both back in making regular content. Like I guess for many others, you were my biggest insipration back in the day when I started to do card tricks and cardistry so I am forever gratefull and wish you all the best, thank you! :)
I actually liked the "gaudy" design of the Versace deck, lol😂! Also I can't believe the poor quality of the thick "coaster" like deck! That was such an extreme rip off! I would be pissed if I played them over $400 and that is what they sent me! I don't understand why these huge fashion companies wouldn't collaborate with legitimate card companies like you guys, or T11, or at least just straight to USPCC. You would think that they would want the quality associated with their name instead of cheap generic cards in a cheap fancy box.
Thanks a lot, for taking the time to show all these decks. Really disappointing quality, so I wonder if you could convince some of these big brands to do a deck with your D&D Gucci, D&D Versace, wow, I will go for it (but please, redesign some of those faces).
wowww. Thanks for reviewing all this branded deck. Never knew brand like Gucci, versace made their own card. But I think I would for Hermes for the card, then packaging for Gucci
Loved seeing you guys open up those fabulous designer decks. I moved recently out of NYC and I miss going into some of those stores you featured!! Never bought much, but fun to look!! Bob Siciliano.
L objet definitely looks the best and being a legends deck it's a sealed deal. It's just hilarious that the prices are just ridiculous because of the name yet a 3 dollar deck is better.
Not me judging these cards like some sort of snob 😂😂 I was certain Dan’s Hermes cards had the coolest design UNTIL the L’object cards holy wow!!! Those are amazing!! But come onnnn w the excessive packaging. The Versace cards… 10/10. Beautiful. Perfection. Wooow. 😍 Why am I not surprised the YSL cards are the most expensive yet lowest quality? …. Coaster 😂 The Off-White cards look like they would come in a board game. 😅 The Gucci ones.. 10/10 for packaging and carrying case…. For a basic deck 😂 Super cool video. Loved this!
Oh yeah also.. I think the Off-White scented thing was a perfume/cologne sample? No? It looked like an extra large version of the papers you spray perfume on to smell it.
It is interesting to see what brands are interested in providing a usable off brand product (Gucci makes bags not cards) and put the time and effort into maintaining the quality in whatever they make, and which brands just want to sell branded props. It takes no time to find what publishers/printers produce quality playing cards, and yet some of these brands couldn't be bothered. However, it is inspiring to see some brands (Off-White .. sort of .., Versace, L'objet) that do take the time to make sure that their name is only on a good product. Anyone that thinks AoP/D&D cards are too expensive doesn't understand the reputation that comes with that brand. I always know that what I get from them (not just cards) will be quality, and for that quality the charge a reasonable price. Excellent humble brag video. Additionally, I love how real and human these guys are. They are in the business of playing, like real world George and Fred from Harry Potter. They are just out there trying to help folks play more and that is awesome. Thanks!
Cool decks but I think most of it is overpriced but it's the name of the brand that you pays like you guys said. I think the deck I liked the most is the L'objet deck as it has great artwork and packaging and it seems to be playable as well. Most of them had great and expensive looking packaging, I gave them that but the cards itself is quite mediocre at best. I think another luxury brand (or probably more of a hype brand) I remember seeing is the Supreme deck, I think you could also add it to this list
Hell yeah make those shirts, I always buy your D&D/AOP shirts and hats going way back. I think my first shirt was probably the red 52 leagues under the sea or the orange ace Fulton shirt it’s been a long time but I still own them all the screen printing on all your shirts are top notch made to last.
i liked l'objet the most since the cards handled well and they didn't skimp on actually designing a fully custom deck. ovo has some playing cards though I'm not sure if they're luxury or whether you'll like them. i'd buy one of those art of play sweaters if you guys released one
Even though the cards weren't great I liked the Gucci brand ones. The presentation was really nice and the little zip up card case is really cool. This was a really cool video idea and it would be cool to see more super expensive cards in the future. Thanks guys.
I’ve bought 12 or so decks in the past from Art of Play and have watched a few videos you’ve done but didn’t know you ARE Art of Play. Love the decks, love the cardistry!
insane to see how these luxury decks stack up against other cards...loved hear your thoughts, esp on the design aspects. ps. please say the dog will make guest appearances in future videos
This was a crazy fun episode! I recently found legends printed cards at Alcatraz when we visited SF! I was so pumped they handled well. Also, please definitely bring in those art of play shirts and five panel ebbets fields caps 🎉

I love the leather box of the Gucci cards
I'd love to win! I've never actually had a regular deck of cards. I only ever had an old miniature key-chain version!
When are the winners chosen
My family doesn’t get why I buy cards from you guys. It’s art, it’s time and effort, it’s attention to detail. I’m a happy customer ❤❤❤
You forgot the Drew House deck, which Legends made so the deck will feel great! :) Thank you for the shout out with the L'objet deck!
Wow! the production quality of this channel is amazing, you definetly deserve a bigger audience, continue the good work
Thanks so much
Really fun to watch. It’s good to know that fancy decks aren’t better than a standard deck of cards.
This video was so relaxing. I love looking at cards and find myself just looking at the art of play website just to enjoy the art work. I treated myself to a deck earlier in the year finally and I’m glad I did. Great video!!!
The tray was really cool. Kind of reminds me of old school ash tray. Definitely thought the last deck was sick and might be worth the price.
L'objet knocked it out the park with the packaging and deck
Last deck looked the best!
The L’Object decks were my favourite for sure! Super sweet designs and hectic finish :)
L'Objet and Legends knocked it out the park with that deck
@@Artofplay Absolutely! :)
Absolutely agree on the L'Object cards. These are amazing and fairly priced. I love the pip cards and the face cards. It will be hard to distinguish the various cards in hand. But they are beautiful. I'll order the L'Object cards after I order the Cabinetarium cards!
The Gucci x Versace offspring deck would be sweet. The packaging and presentation of Gucci with Versace's deck quality. New AoP deck? Lol
It was definitely a good episode of research for us ;)
I do play regularly with these schmancy cards. Hermes, Smythson, Tiffany -They are delightful. Did you leave out Smythson? tons of fun!! Also bridge is always played with double decks. They come in a pair with slight color or pattern differences. Bridge sets- always a pair!

I'm definitely going to be looking into getting that last deck. That thing was incredible! Thanks for the great video! Looking forward to seeing more from you guys! Keep up the solid work!
I actually think and different deck for each of you guys is a great idea.
Cool video! My favourite were the Versace decks!
Great reviews, had so much fun watching! Can’t wait to see what’s next
This just shows that price doesn’t always equal quality or value. Loved the video. It would be cool to see you guys do one with different kickstarter decks from a specific year. Love the card videos, love the website! Keep up the good work!
Thank you so much! We'll keep it up, for sure!
Omg hahaha. Brenda and I couldn’t stop laughing. Great job guys.
you 2 are amazing, Thank you for your kind motivation to keep playing
Thank you. Glad we can inspire more play! As Roald Dahl said - life is more fun if you play games.
I would LOVE to have an Art of Play shirt like the one you have on! Please have them made. (And receiving any one of the free decks would be nice too. 😉)
In our newest episode, we're giving away an Art of Play shirt
I loved this! I watched it again with my husband. He said you two are the Bob and Doug Mackenzie of cards minus ending your sentences with “eh”.
Great showcase, that last deck was stunning for sure!
Great video!
L’objet seems to be the best!
Thanx
I love your videos. Recently, had them pop up on my feed. I am proud that ya'll are based in San Diego like myself. Keep up the hard work and I appreciate your RUclips content.
Thanks! Have you had a chance to check out our shop in Little Italy? It's inside the James Coffee shop.
We need the Dan vs. Dave decks to become a reality!
More importantly, which one would you be getting?
@@Artofplay Both!!

Thanks! The Ultimate Deck remains one of our favourites even after over a decade of them releasing.
The L’object deck gave me an idea for my next deck with legends
Love this show, I am very happy to see you both back in making regular content. Like I guess for many others, you were my biggest insipration back in the day when I started to do card tricks and cardistry so I am forever gratefull and wish you all the best, thank you! :)
Thank you so much! It's fun to be back on RUclips and to connect with the community. We appreciate you!
That look of oh crap!🔥 Those versace are dope
although I do not have the space, the fancy boxes allure me to the decks for sure!
Great reviews, had so much fun watching!
I think my favorite has to be the l'object cards.
Those Versace decks look amazing!
There is a Cartier deck in the $500+ range, if you do end up going for another round of this.
There were several decks in the thousand dollar range, that we didn't buy for this episode. Maybe for a part 2...
wow this one is new love it!
All Great Cards!
Love this idea
Awesome, so cool!
you guys have such a nıce energy!
Thank you so much!
Does such a thing as a scratch-and-sniff deck of cards exist? Cardistry becoming an aromatic experience.
What would you want the cards to smell like?
Wow, would love to win the L'OBJET deck! Went to their website and gave them my email address too.
I actually liked the "gaudy" design of the Versace deck, lol😂! Also I can't believe the poor quality of the thick "coaster" like deck! That was such an extreme rip off! Thanks for providing new content :)
To be honest I’ll gladly trade all those decks for a single D&D deck lol
Love these videos
my type of video
great show!
So how many Scoville units in that pepper?
Enough! 🥵
Nice video Guy’s ❤
Nice Gucci case 😍
Curious what kind of pepper that was! I ate a whole Carolina Reaper just to say I did it and ended up throwing it up oops
Not sure. Just certain it was a hot one! 🥵
Very funny.
What’s the Gucci zipper case made of?
Seems like leather
Always excited to see these come out! Also, first!
This channel has some good potential for the future! You guys are doing great on it.❤
Thank you!
Dan: almost dies after eating a pepper*
Also Dan: stars doing insane cardistry while he tries not to die*
Dan specialises in spicy Cardistry 🔥
21:13 I'm in for a brick!
Pepper was so hot bro forgot his own move
I can believe the Saint Laurent deck. What a complete POS. HOW ARE THEY CHARGING THAT MUCH FOR GARBAGE.
The Gucci deck was printed on Modiano playing cards! They make awesome cheap plastic poker cards ($7-$12 USD) - I use them all the time for games!
There's something incredibly anxiety-inducing about a super-thick deck of cards. Those YSLs are freaking me out...
Loved seeing you guys open up those fabulous designer decks. I moved recently out of NYC and I miss going into some of those stores you featured!! Never bought much, but fun to look!! Bob Siciliano.
Super fun video! About the decks, I didn’t like any one of them. Even though some aren’t bad, they mostly aren’t creative enough.
good on l'objet! ...only co. that considered one might actually want to USE the cards! (and the art is beautiful!!)
i know the versace cards look really busy, but they're definitely my favorite design of all the luxury cards
L objet definitely looks the best and being a legends deck it's a sealed deal. It's just hilarious that the prices are just ridiculous because of the name yet a 3 dollar deck is better.
You might not know it or not, but spitting that pepper out saved you a world of discomfort. Good on you mate!
That last deck was awesome and almost the cheapest the other lux designer decks you pay for the name not the quality of the cards
This was very interesting Thank You? I never heard of these cards or saw anyone sell them>
That YSL deck ain’t the one. I felt that deck through the screen 😢😢
Omg I love the Hermes one!!! 😱
Not me judging these cards like some sort of snob 😂😂
I was certain Dan’s Hermes cards had the coolest design UNTIL the L’object cards holy wow!!! Those are amazing!! But come onnnn w the excessive packaging.
The Versace cards… 10/10. Beautiful. Perfection. Wooow. 😍
Why am I not surprised the YSL cards are the most expensive yet lowest quality? …. Coaster 😂
The Off-White cards look like they would come in a board game. 😅

Super cool video. Loved this!
Oh yeah also.. I think the Off-White scented thing was a perfume/cologne sample? No? It looked like an extra large version of the papers you spray perfume on to smell it.
I have those Eames cards and you're right you shouldn't have had them next to the other ones lol 😆
That Gucci case would be a nice thing to have honestly
Most of the decks actually look great. Shame most of them seem to be made of paper though!
This was so interesting! The OG reviewing the new jacks. Gripping! ❤

The business of play - love that! Thanks for the thoughtful comment and kind words.
So interesting. I must admit, wasn't sure 30 mins of unboxing cards would hold attention, but it certainly does (and your decks ARE better).
Thanks for watching!
Keep the videos coming! Love this! Last deck was my Fav.
Loved the Hermes deck. The orange colour is amazing
Cool decks but I think most of it is overpriced but it's the name of the brand that you pays like you guys said. That's a good question. Perhaps if you win one you can tell us what you do with it!
Thanks for this. Very interesting and agree that last deck wins.

Thanks so much. You've got some OG's in your collection. We're giving away an AoP shirt in our newest episode too
i liked l'objet the most since the cards handled well and they didn't skimp on actually designing a fully custom deck.
ovo has some playing cards though I'm not sure if they're luxury or whether you'll like them.
i'd buy one of those art of play sweaters if you guys released one
Some Art of Play apparel would be cool, but for now, in our newest episode, we're giving away an AoP shirt.
This show is great! I won many decks when you had Coffee with Dan and Dave, hopefully I still have some luck left!
This is like Coffee with Dan and Dave, but with even bigger giveaways. Good luck.
To show us the 52 on the back of the shirt...turn around!!
Even though the cards weren't great I liked the Gucci brand ones. The presentation was really nice and the little zip up card case is really cool. This was a really cool video idea and it would be cool to see more super expensive cards in the future. Thanks guys.
The case really won us over. There might just have to be a part 2 in the future.
Awesome unboxing video, love watching these!
Absolutely love the Gucci deck and case design ❤️
Love the channel, been buying multiple mystery decks for two years now and always get blown away by the decks, keep it up lads! :)
Appreciate the support!
This video was so much fun to watch. I definitely would love to see more videos like this. My favorite deck had to be The L'objet's!
We have more ideas like this to come!
I’ve bought 12 or so decks in the past from Art of Play and have watched a few videos you’ve done but didn’t know you ARE Art of Play. Love the decks, love the cardistry!
The ultimate deck is still my favorite I have been showing people probably (annoying) love the show!!!
It's been over a decade and we still find new details in that deck every time we look at it.
You definitely need to make a luxury package double deck set: one is Dan the other Dave... and fix all the problems these decks had!
insane to see how these luxury decks stack up against other cards...loved hear your thoughts, esp on the design aspects. ps. please say the dog will make guest appearances in future videos
We're sure there'll be more dog-commentary in the future!
This was a crazy fun episode! I recently found legends printed cards at Alcatraz when we visited SF! I was so pumped they handled well.
Also, please definitely bring in those art of play shirts and five panel ebbets fields caps 🎉
