I saw this performed last night in Minneapolis, MN at the Northrop Auditorium, and it is the most amazing, beautiful thing I have seen in my entire life. Makes me hungry for more Batsheva!
As a video game player, I really appreciate this dance because it reminds me when my game starts glitching and characters start moving around in their own time and space. The choreographers in this video represent that "glitch" extremely well!
Linear (in physical line as well as story line and choreographic progression), pretty, flashy, mainstream, organized, predictable, comfortable ...i'm an american dancer/choreographer as well...i love this work and often find that many of the funders, students, presenters and audience members that i am in contact with don't appreciate or desire to see this kind of work/movement
Linear (in form and content/storyline), literal, pretty, organized, flashy... I am an American dancer/choreographer as well and I find that many of the students, funders, general public, etc., that I come in contact with aren't really interested in (or appreciative of) this kind of movement. Nice work on your page by the way...
ok heres what was on the program "Bellus"- J.S. Bach, Goldberg Variations, performed by Glenn Gould "Humus"-Brian Eno, Neroli "Secus" (this clip) - Chari Chari, Kid 606 + Rayon (mix: Stefan Ferry), AGF, Fennesz, Kaho Naa Pyar Hai, Seefeel, and the Beach Boys
Also i really like the angle at 0:45. She looks like she kicked the guy in the face. I can't tell if that was intentional, because it would make sense if it was, regarding the emotions in this.
Just so you know, here is all of the music in order of hearing: #. Song - Artist 1. Favourite Final Geisha Show - Chari Chari 2. Flutter - Kid 606 3. AmbientTRUST - AGF 4. PRIVATEbirds - AGF 5. YouSTOP - AGF
It's so refreshing to see a choreographer who isn't afraid of stillness. Love it!!

yawn yawn yawn
utter waste of time and money
