Like that he says don't go looking for techniques. This should be for most martial arts. You have to wait for them to present them selves. Very wise words.
This explains the difference between Kata and application in Aikido or similar. "Don't memorise where your hand should be, just have the right intent of what you want to do................"
I like the practical sui nim Tao explanations you do, cos alot of people like me trying to understand the Eastern way, we practice the form even if its got structure, but we don't know what each movement is for, like the bong sau, I though that was a palm strike, but no its actually a elbow lift 😮 to me understanding this helps. Co now I know how slow some parts of the form should be done and what she be done reasonably quick too.
Hi Mr Chan, I do see some similarities between your style of wing chun and ban chung cho gar wing chun from nga wu guangzhou. May I know which lineage are you practicing under?
This slappy stuff will never work against a real punch with full force. Start sparring with full resistance opponents and see how most of these techniques will not work as demonstrated by these instructors.
@@WCtrainer1 Once again, you missed the point of the video. It's not about stopping full force punches...it's about putting intent into all your moves. The intent is not to stop a punch, it's to attack and handle whatever comes back at you.
@@renegadefunkman I didn't miss the point, it seems you did. Go spar full force and see what works and what doesn't. I don't need to see demos like this with a fully coporating non resisting student to tell me what works.
@@WCtrainer1 Lol we're going in circles. The point of the video is that no matter what you're doing, if the intent is not there, it's not going to work. If you spar without the proper intent, you're just doing cardio.
This is sooooooo true. Took me years to realize it.
“After all the investigation, all of the technique doesn't matter unless the feeling is right”

A gem was dropped 🎩
Its all about the feel.
WOw man I have learnt so easily from sifu Adam than I have from other mentors. It's so simple and practical.
thank you sifu

That's cool man! It's difficult to find a great teacher, it's good that they've found you 😉✌🏻🇬🇧
Wow thank you for bringing it. I just realized it now and it will be useful in ao many things. Thank you.
Nice , very important lessons and description of intent, all too often I see over thinking the movements , specially in the more advanced students
Awesome, the right intent, that's the most important thing

Always great videos ,very nice wing chun!
Intention is a GREAT part of anything and everything we do.

I practiced at Dynamic Defence W Sifu Bill on the Island. Love Wing Chun Fist.
I wish there is a sifu like you near me! Have you ever thought of doing a book, or paid for view video series for beginners?
I always liked
Kungfu with the blocks and pinches.
This, holy fuck, it doesnt matter the art, but thank you for explaining it like you did
This can be added to any martial art.
Smart man
You also must know the proper footwork and the body rotation towards the attack.

0:53 not so sure but seems like the partner was resisting his pak da so Adam beautifully resorted to an arm lock takedown
And he did it with no effort!
Very good!!! :)
I love how he teach if he was my school teacher I would been president of the United States

Lol you didn't get the msg of the video.
@@renegadefunkman Keep trying to stop full force punches coming while trying to slap them to stop and come and tell us how it worked out for you.
