I don't think personally that creating another slayer is worth it cause you don't miss anything except for different different dialogue and options. I hope they implement NG+. The company is being quiet since launch, releasing updates at best and going to launch the first story DLC. It is the best optimized game of 2023 so far alongside Spider-Man 2 and the best overall in terms of optimization on all platforms. Cause Spider-Man 2 is on PS5 only and DI2 is multiplatform on old gen as well and kudos to them. I give zero f's about RT not being present. Whatever it takes to make a stable experience. Not everything has to be with reflections.
I feel as if this gives a whole new side to the apocalypse. Loneliness, eeriness, the viscious chaos of everything happening, but in a way it seems so empty and linear.

There’s something soothing but absolutely melancholic about this intro. The smooth chill Danger Mouse tune soothing the dark undertones of the game. Perfectly contradictory in its own manor. We deserved this game.
Not sure if its intentional or not, but when the camera backs through the plane window and it shows the ferris wheel look at the top middle of the window and it looks to be an image skull from the cracks made. Also just brought this game after months of being on the fence and I'm so glad I did absolutely love it!!!

Dead Island 2 reminds me of Fear The Walking Dead, FTWD: Flight 462, Resident Evil: Afterlife, Zombieland and Dead Rising 3. PD: This trailer is great showing the horror and how terrifying Dead Island is.
These designers really are geniuses. I cannot imagine a more perfect song for the intro. This game was so much fun. You absolutely have to play with headphones though. The sounds are panic-inducing. One of the most fun games ever.

I really like the juxtaposition of the Opulence of LA and the blood and viscera of a population ill equipped to deal with a zombie outbreak. All the neon and glitz covered in some poor SoB’s entrails, while flies happily feast. Can’t wait for Friday!!!

If you consider all the blood and viscera to be “lighthearted”, I don’t want to know what kind of bedtime stories you read XD I do agree that this is not as shocking as the family from the Dead Island 1 trailer.
This opening was done amazingly and gives me the feeling like im reuniting with an old friend I thought was lost forever and the same feeling translates to the gameplay from the crafting to the refined combat it. Feeling right at home in hell-a! 🧟♂️

Love this game so much. Yes its world is much smaller compared to the first one, but the story and the gameplay was phenomenal, not to mention it’s not far fetched to anticipate expansions and dlc.
