    Usually I *plan* or at least jot down talking points for my vids or else I keep blabbering on... hence why this video is longer than usual 🥲
    Like this comment if you'd like longer videos from me~! (20+ mins)

    I used to love Sana Nameraka for years as a teenager and when I lived in Japan, I must have used all their products and also Hada labo as well. Those to brands were my HG's before I got into skin care or even knew about Korea, throughout high school and uni. I've not used them in a while after having gotten into skincare and discovering all these other kbeauty brands, but Sana was one of the first skincare brands I ever used

  • @mls3555
    @mls3555 Год назад

    Hi Tina - you are just adorable & I learn so much from your videos! I would like to suggest that you try the PMD- Sonic cleansing device. It is amazing!!!
    It massages the skin so deeply. I use it every night before bed, my daughter prefers it am/pm. She said the first time she used it she saw that a pimple plug literally came up & washed down the sink (gross) which proves that it does amazing things. Her skin now looks fantastic & nearly 100% clear!
    I had the Clarisonic device years ago which died, then I got a cheaper device since I couldn't figure out what I wanted. I can honestly say the PMD is WAY better than the similar cheapie device that I had. Plus the PMD stimulates collagen production which is super important for anyone over 40=)

    hi Tina! quick question. Is the sana self foaming wash any different from the original cream cleanser that you foam up with a net? Because that one left my skin really tight and dry and i was wondering if the self foaming one would have a different effect since you said it didn’t leave your skin stripped.

    • @firnheledien
      @firnheledien 2 года назад +2

      The ingredients are not the same. The cream one should be whipped into a dense lather by adding water progressively. If you don't do this, the cleanser will be too concentrated and too stripping.

    2 comments on your routine:
    1) Don't use exfoliating acids, i.e. BHAs, no matter how gentle, in the same routine as retinoids
    2) Don't use retinoids, no matter how gentle, on damp skin. It should be applied to dry skin

    • @TinaTanakaHarris
      @TinaTanakaHarris  2 года назад +6

      Totally agree with you points!
      As I said at 9:15 I was NOT using the retinol in this routine since I was exfoliating 😌

    • @laya1901
      @laya1901 2 года назад +2

      @@ivorysooya2786 you can do it. I've seen dermatologists' routines (for example Dr Shereene Idriss in Harper's bazaar) where they used both. Those comments are very helpful for beginners, but if your skin can tolerate it, you can use both and/or use retinoids on damp skin. I used to use in the same routine the ordinary's bha aha peel and then one of their retinol oils and my skin would be completely fine. I don't recommend starting to use both at the same time, but you can work your way up.
