Brilliant video, would it be possible to include the name of the Raag on which this song was based upon and practicing which alankars and paltes would be helpful for the students - what is the BPM & the key of the original song would also be helpful
I don't know that this is based on a particular raag. If you see the notations, you can see all shudhdha except Ni is komal. So do any riyaz with Ni komal and all else shudhdha notes.

Hi Bidisha, appreciate your efforts in music education! While your tutorial on "Hazar Rahein" is helpful, it's crucial to ensure accuracy. In this instance, considering the double count in 4 beats, starting "Hazar" on beat 3 or 5 only serves the purpose to bring "Raahein" on sum or beat 1, in contrast it originally starts from beat 1 of Kehrva Taal. Researching such intricacies enhances the learning experience for your audience. Keep up the good work!

BTW, did you know Kishore Kumar never had any formal music training? He couldn't even read swaralipis. But he never needed one :)
yes, I know :) He's a legend of course. My mother would always say - Kishore Kumar er kono classical training nei kintu dakh kirom gaaye :) The way we learn is by repeating a phrase several times. We also don't learn via notation. But there seems to be a demand for it, so I provide it. I tell my students when a song appeals to you and you hum it, you do it intuitively, hai na?
@@BidishaGhosh Sorry, I didn't intend to mean there is any substitute to systematic learning in any field including music. Rarest exceptions like Kishore Kumar or Ramanujan can't be and shouldn't be considered as examples. Your path is right and your teaching spirit is the best! Why else am I such a big fan of yours? :)
@@BidishaGhosh BTW, would you ever consider singing "Piya to se naina laage re"? Music is by R. D. Barman. It seems to me to be based on Jhinjhoti, but I might be wrong. I think it would suit your voice very well :)
