INSTALL THRU HOMEBREW STORE OR NRO
OPEN JKSV
SELECT USER
SELECT GAME
SELECT NEW TO CREATE BACKUP
MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A SAVE FILE BEFORE MAKING A BACKUP, IF THERES NO GAME DATA, JKSV CANT CREATE A BACKUP
FILES WILL BE LOCATED ON SD CARD IN JKSV FILE
PRESS Y TO RESTORE GAME
ENJOY!
Where does it save the files to? Some more info here would have been helpful.
It's not letting me create a save file when I get to that part
when i open jksv and make a backup save file. the game doesnt show up on my user, it shows up on the BCAT section. i save and make a backup file but when i put it on my pc theres nothing there. the game file is there but when i open it theres no saves. any idea? ive uninstalled and installed multiple times

i have a problem with jksv.
basically I backup Pokemon Shining Pearl, but it gives me a very old save and when I go to restore almost nothing changes, I don't change the save!

Something like this happens to me . But basically, on my emunand side the file is updated with all the pkhex changes but I try to open the game normally so with no homebrew etc etc the save is the old one just before the edits
Could I overwrite my original save file? Meaning I could put a setting that will put my new save on my stock switch
Always save a backup of your original save file, even if you don't want to edit/replace it. Then you can move that save to another hacked switch if you want. It's just always smart to have a backup if something goes wrong
And unfortunately no you can't move the save to a stock switch as the save would need to be injected on the new switch in order to work. Would need to be homebrewed for that..
i need to try and get another checkpoint files, the checkpoints i had was removed some how not sure tho, can i get help on mayb re-doing it pls? and where to get the files that are needed and how to set it up
I would love to help, unfortunately I can't really understand what problem you're having. If you deleted your save files, they arent recoverable. If you need checkpoint to work, If it's not, try downloading it thru the homebrew store again. Sometimes an update is needed,I hope that helps!
Can I use it to, let's say I want to store my save in my PC and uninstall my game, and if I want to install the game again, can I inject my save again with this? Btw nice video 💯
Yes you absolutely can do that, I store finished save files often, delete the game to play something else and when I revisit the deleted game, just reinject said save and boom, right back to normal

Thx u . May I ask u a question about how do u do the backup of your file. I m struggling with it cause I have the parti on on my sd so I can easily esit my file on pkhex and then restore it on the emunand but I don’t want to go online on the game on the emunand I would like to go on line normally on my let s say legal side . But when I open Pokémon as normal the save file is the old one just before the edit on pkhex I know why (because of the partition ) but do u have any other solution to just use the newest file (with pkhex edit) ? One should be use an other switch and do the local trade and then the online one from the new switch , but do u have any other suggestions? To avoid ban of course . Thank you
