Saying that it changed my life sounds corny but it did have an impact on my life. I was obsessed with him for a while and I used to go to the town and look for him. I never found him until one day a concert that he was part of, 3,000 mi away from California in Montreal Canada. I was unbelievably starstruck talking to him, he signed my Oakland hat and I wanted to talk to him so much, and it was at the time when he and Pooh man were beefing so I brought it up. Short and Too Clean started laughing their asses off wondering how this boy know all about this shit all the way out here...that's wha when I told him that I lived in San Jose before. I said to him that I used to try to find him, but never had any luck. He told me at that point that he lived on 85th. But the time of the concert, it was roughly a year or two since he had moved to Atlanta and I asked him why he left Oakland, and his exact words were "two main reasons, you lived in the bay so you know how wild it is. Things were getting hectic and very dangerous. I can make my dollar stretch much longer in Atlanta than California. So I bought MY mama a house and myself a mansion and it was not even close to the price of a house in California of similar sizes" But you damn right about the music that comes out of Oakland and the bay in general. At one point I only listen to artists out of The Bay Area. My only exception besides it was NWA, and death row. I miss those days when their music would drop cuz it was such 🔥🔥🔥🔥 and there ain't nothing like that anymore.
