In 1967 Los Angeles, widowed mother Alice Zander (Elizabeth Reaser) unwittingly invites authentic evil into her home by adding a new stunt to bolster her séance scam business. Yes! This is the same director, Mike Flanagan. He often uses the same actors and actresses. Check out his other movies. The woman in the beginning at the seance was the same woman who played Theo in "Haunting of Hill House" as well. And the redhead daughter in this movie was also in Mike Flanagan's movie, "Oculus" which I highly recommend.
