  • Johnny Park Road is a trail I did pretty early on in the channel. I was coming back from camping so at that time I ran it backwards. I always said I wanted to go back and go up all the obstacles instead of slide down them (last time it was snowy and icy). So that was great, very fun trail with lots of ledges to go up and a few rutty areas to flex out on. Almost everything has a bypass and I saw some trucks on there that surprised me. The hardest part is early on and the bypass has some basketball sized rocks in it but should be fine in just about anything with a careful line. Have fun out there!

    My Tires:
    amzn.to/2whk2MF
I love these tires. The only others I'd take are the BFG KO2 but they don't make them in this size and the KM2's are amazing. You can probably imagine the amount of driving I do weekly and how much abuse my tires get. These things last, everyone knows this, you've seen it in my videos.
    My Tire Deflators:
    amzn.to/2nYVxzU
These tire deflators have many $15 copies but the others just don't hold up or are inaccurate. I don't know what the deal is, they look identical to me too but read the reviews- they're bad. I've been using these Staun's for over a year and never had a problem, I air down a lot. Set them at the trail so your tires will be the same temp when you get to the trail next time.
    My Compressor:
    amzn.to/2PuerLH
There are better ones but I'd just get a bigger VIAIR, not something different. Airs up all my 33's from 14psi to 37psi in less than 10 minutes.
    My Microphone:
    amzn.to/2P1S3sb
My microphone is the worst good mic you can get. BUT don't be fooled, it's a very good mic. Picture me getting in my car for the 50th time after I just ran up and down a hill... for the 50th time. Do you see me disconnecting my mic and gingerly setting it in a case? No. It stays connected to the tripod, gets thrown into my plastic cargo area and bounces around with other heavy items until the next one. It gets terrible interference from WiFi so you must make sure that it's off on your camera or phone. If you are trying to use this with your phone you need to get a TRS to TRRS cable which RODE makes. This is required because your phone will think the mic is headphones.
    My Tripod:
    amzn.to/2o8h6hL
I went through 2 tripods in 1 month, a $20 and a $30. Buy it nice or buy it thrice. This thing gets opened and closed MANY times per week in rain, snow, dirt, and even in the middle of rivers. I love the 2-stage legs so i can make it real low in 2sec instead of shortening all the legs.
    My Drone:
    amzn.to/2KUGWAp
You can tell how easy it was to progress through my videos. Besides maybe five times, you've seen every bit of flying since I got it. I don't fly in the city and I don't go to the mountains and not make a video. It is VERY easy to use.
    My Drone ND Filters:
    amzn.to/2MHV0R0
The filters are a must. Again I have the worst ones and I am still very pleased. My first use was video #35 and I think it is very apparent. Illinois Gulch (#34 obviously) has a completely white sky, way too much blue. I'm still not even good about selecting the right one or changing them out but it's 10x better than nothing.
    My Books:
    amzn.to/2wmd20O CO
    amzn.to/2BzDIBc CO North
    amzn.to/2ByPuvy Moab
This is the stuff I've tested, this is what I like. I am very hard on all of my equipment frequently and it still works. I back all of these items and each company seems to back their product very well too. I guess it's easy to offer a warranty when your stuff doesn't break.

Not sure if you've run this recently but man has this trail changed. Erosion has created some pretty gnarly spots pushing it up towards a 4/10 for the mandatory lines. The first rock garden is similar to the gate keeper at Middle Saint Vrain and the upper optional rock garden is super washed out with the bypass to the left being almost impassable for a stock vehicle, throwing most in to tripod mode with how off camber it's become.

@@BRollOffroad Iron Clads has gotten pretty gnarly as well. Not sure when you were up there last but that switchback coming down is getting to be more off camber. Latest vid I threw up on my channel will give you an idea, if you plan to head up there anytime soon. Would say it's probably the hardest mandatory section of the trail now.

This one looks like a lot of fun!
Do you have any local trails you'd suggest for someone to slowly learn what their vehicle is capable of and learn how to drive offroad?? My girls got a new stock Taco(TRD Offroad) and has the desire to go offroad, but is clueless on what the truck can do or how to drive a line and pick it out. (For example, I directed her over things my Lifted FWD Golf TDI would do easily and she was relatively nervous to do it) We've been around the main roads of Rampart range/Jackson Creek Rd; its not really enough to excel in learning unless we take the side trails(wouldnt want to do that without assistance)

i would get a trailsoffroad membership and just work your way up through their ratings. you’ve done some 2’s now try a 2-3, then a 3-3 etc. i’ll tell you that thing is just as capable as my car so any of these trails should be fine. i also intentionally take “bad” lines to make the videos more interesting on easier trails and there’s “better” ways to get up stuff. on this one though i took pretty legitimate lines through the harder stuff but they also all had bypasses.
