  • When I bought my BMW the headlights were different, one was original and the other aftermarket. So I purchased another aftermarket one to keep things consistent, and while doing that I got some Angel Eyes as well. In this video I show you how I installed them.

    Sorry for the long delay between videos, I've been jam packed with study for the past few months and haven't had much time; however, I've got plenty of fun videos planned. I'm getting a custom cat-back exhaust soon, stick around for that!

      No worries mate! Nah I took them out since I connected the angel eyes to the park light wiring, didn't want park lights and angel eyes at the same time.

    Is it possible to install the angel eyes onto the original e36 headlights?

    • @aussiee3626
      @aussiee3626  2 года назад +1

      I believe it's possible but it would be more difficult since there are no grooves built into the headlights for holding the angel eyes. You'd need to glue them on somehow I think.

    • @aussiee3626
      @aussiee3626  3 года назад

      Hmm that's strange, maybe the resistors aren't rated for the same amperage as the lights?

      I have a 96 4 door and they are completely different headlights. I already ordered the ccfl angel eyes but cannot open the sedan lights housing.
      Any ideas?

    do you need the after market headlights to install the angel eyes?

    • @aussiee3626
      @aussiee3626  3 года назад +1

      It makes the job a lot easier since there's grooves in the aftermarket ones to hold the angel eyes. You could use the OEM headlights but it would be harder to mount the angel eyes, they would need to be secured to the headlight glass somehow.

    Hi sir, I need your advice on ccfl vs led or halogen ?

    • @aussiee3626
      @aussiee3626  3 года назад +1

      Hey mate, the main difference between CCFL and LED is the brightness. The LED ones can be much brighter than CCFL. One downside with LED is that you can sometimes see the gap between each LED diode inside the rings (depending on the quality of the product, some are much less noticeable or even nonexistent), whereas the CCFL rings are a single light source. LED can also be a more blue tinge of white, while CCFL is more neutral (again it depends, some LEDs have different colour temperatures). Also CCFL lights can have trouble turning on properly in very cold conditions, so depending on where you live that may be a problem. Halogen I haven't had experience with so I can't give you much advice there, sorry. I'd say go with LED if you want brighter angel eyes that are more pronounced on sunny days, and go with CCFL if you want something less bright. I went with CCFL since I prefer the less harsh light they produce, and they are more in line with the actual angel eyes used on BMWs. Good luck!

    How to hold the angel eyes?

    • @aussiee3626
      @aussiee3626  3 года назад

      Do you mean inside the headlights? The DEPO headlights I purchased have a little space inside where the angel eyes sit and are secured in place by the headlight lenses. If you are using the OEM headlights you might need to use some sort of tape or glue to secure them, as they aren't designed for angel eyes.
