/ roestalker Just a short video showing mounting and zeroing of a red dot sight on a combination gun. I did that on my Dad's request as he wanted to try a red dot sight on driven hunts this season.
The combo gun is a Fair and a red dot sight is a PWS.
The zeroing process is quite straightforward and not really much to talk about. I initially started at 25m and later moved to further distances.

Krótki film prezentujący jak zamontować i przystrzelać kolimator na kniejówce. Zrobiłem to na prośbę mojego Taty, który miał ochotę wypróbować kolimator na zbiorówkach w tym sezonie.
Kniejówka to Fair combi, kolimator to zamknięty model PWSa.
Sam montaż i przystrzelanie są bardzo proste i specjalnie nie ma o czym opowiadać. Zacząłem od 25m, a potem przeniosłem tarczę na dalsze dystanse.

I believe a red dot is probably the best sighting system for a combination or drilling when its possible to shot or rifle at ranges to 150m. Thanks for sharing.
I put an Eotech on my 870 slug master , wow . Cut my target acquisition time by 2/3's . I love it .
When we zeroing a combination gun we do it for the two barrel shotgun and rifle

I have my 12 gauge over and under . If I try to zero my red dot to the under barrel the top barrel hits 6 inch higher than the lower barrel

Which combo gun do u have ? ANd are the barrels free floating ? So u keep the precision while the rifle barrel is warm :) ?
This is Fair Combi and barrels are simply soldered together so accuracy suffers when you shoot more than one shot.
I'm new to combination guns and just bought Merkel drilling with soldered barrels. I've noticed difference in point of impact between 1st, 2nd and 3rd shot (constantly hitting little bit higher) which is not real problem when hunting but does make zeroing little bit more complicated. So my question is how much do you usually wait between two consecutive shots? 1,2..5 minutes, or when not so warm to touch, or some other criteria?
Hard to say, if you want to be 100% accurate it should cool down all the way, so depending on ambient temp can take a few minutes. I just zero with one shot, not 3-5shot groups it takes too long.
@@RoestalkerCoUk thanks for the answer. I actually ended doing one shot zeroing myself after my initial zeroing with multiple consecutive shots failed. And just checked 15-20 minutes later if true. But asked myself how much time does it take for a barrel to cool down. I'll take laser thermometer to shooting range to get some idea.I'll share here what where the results.

Hello I have a baikal izh 94 - mp 94.... 12ga. Over 30-06. I live in USA and need a scope mount or red dot that will fit can anyone help me ?
As far as I know this is standard 11mm rail, so you have plenty of mounts to choose from.
@@RoestalkerCoUk thank you my problem is- shooting 220gr. 30-06 and 3inch mag buckshot I don't trust a ""pinch""mount and need to utilize the factory recoil lug notch...I hate to have it drilled American because I ordered it pre Obama ban in Deluxe

Witam. W jakim kalibrze jest ta kniejowka? Przymierzam się do czegoś podobnego, choć myślę o czeskiej Brno Combo. Jakie skupienie na stowke?
+Roberto N To jest 30-06. Skupienie jak się odczeka po każdym strzale około 4cm. Generalnie ja tej broni nie lubię i nie używam.
Czyli podobnie jak to bywa z bronią kombinowną, lubi rzucać przy czestym strzelaniu.

+Roberto N Kiedyś myślałem że kniejowka będzie dobrym zakupem, ale nie pasuje do mojego stylu polowania. Jest ciężka a ja dużo poluje z podchodu. To że lufy są lutowane gwarantuje tylko precyzję pierwszego strzału, drugi już poza celem nie mówiąc o kolejnych. Tak więc dla mnie chybiony zakup. Nie sprzedałem tylko dlatego że używa jej mój ojciec.

Thank you Greg for a very useful video. I have just done the same exercise on my combo putting on a Vortex red dot. I had a hard time finding a practical mount for the red dot - ended up letting a gunsmith making one. What brand is your mount for the PWS? Thanks Geir

Nie jestem wielkim fanem zbiorówek, na ogół nie mam szczęścia... W dodatku ostatnio część zbiorówek u mnie to pędzenia metodą szwedzką, co specjalnie nie różni się od zasiadki...
u mnie w kole jest 5 obwodów to na najwiekszym tez jest prowadzone metodą skandnawska i najlepiej sie sprawdza
+a stra Nie mówię że się nie sprawdza, sporo pada ale głównie połowa i jak się kiepska ambona trafi to nuda. Wolę już normalną zasiadkę.
