For old (like me) British people Jersey is instantly recognisable. We used to have a Cop Series on TV that was set on Jersey, and the opening credits were an identical satellite view
6:44 I could tell this was Jersey immediately from the island shape as well! Countless days playing Worldle have definitely paid off! Also the gray rooves are way more common in the Irish and English(etc.) areas.
Excellent solves on these puzzles! Puerto Rico was grand with the twin canals of Rio Bayamon and Rio Hondo. I saw it immediately! PR is on my bucket list.
Had a bit of a trouble with the script on the first game, it didn't reset the compass so I was looking for a beach facing north and on the southern hemisphere on the first round. Unsurprisingly couldn't find that. But wasn't too far off with Indonesia guess. After fixing the issue got two 5k rounds. 4th round again couldn't figure out the country, but was in right ballpark. Finished the game with another 5k. Almost 19.2k score. Second game went a bit better. Only round I couldn't find was 3rd one, but at least I got the country right. The other 4 rounds were 5k. Just shy of 24.5k game. @11:05 Mount Kinabalu is actually the highest mountain in both the island of Borneo and the entire country of Malaysia.
I did this one, as usual, from the ground - much more difficult when you can't see the shape of the islands, so 21k was the best I could do (on the second set). I had to laugh - since I knew Singapore, and you state that you know it's not shaped like that... then check just to realize it is in fact shaped exactly like that. I think the difference is in the size. The island looked a lot bigger on the geoguessr map than it does when you're normally looking at Singapore, so it was easier to not recognize. Congratz on the score - it's always a good feeling.
I had a perfect score on the second round, too! Immediately recognised Texel because I have been on holiday there a couple of times! :) I struggled with the Singapore round, thinking it was Southern Hemisphere an I was sure the last round was Borkum, which has a very similar shape as that Danish island
If you like these aerial coastal challenges my map "World Lighthouses and Signal Towers" may work too. Though the normal ground-level view is best for sightseeing, there's plenty of coastline and large lakes for interesting satellite views.

Not me showing my age by humming the Bergerac theme while reading your comment!
@mosmarb it literally played in my head when the image of jersey came up! We've been brainwashed 🤣
for many young brits too who know literally ANY geography haha
Oh, that's cool! It has a very recognizable shape 😄
Anyone notice how in the Iceland guess his first random click on the map was almost spot on purely by accident?
Yes! I was afraid he was gonna move to Greenland and end up not finding it, I was so frustrated he didn’t explore it at first 😅
A lucky accidents happen 😂

I like how you spelled roofs the way he pronounces it ;)
Haha, Worldle coming in clutch! 😂

Well done! It definitely seems like a really interesting place to visit!

Good that you managed to sort it out! Well played! :)

That's a really good score! Well played! :)
watching this from Singapore and identifying it in 0.1s was an experience hahahah
Haha, nice! 😄

Well done! There were some tricky rounds there! 😄
The one on the Japanese Islands had coral reefs around the Islands. There's no coral up around mainland Japan.
Good catch! I didn't notice that!

Thanks for the suggestion! I went to add it to the list I have and saw it's already there 😅 I'll try to do your map next!
I could recognize Bermuda, Jersey and Singapore instantly... cause they're small and I'm familiar with the shapes. The bigger islands, no chance...
I'm glad I eventually recognized some of the shapes, too 😄
Guernsey is pronounced like Gurnsey Peter, rather than Gwernsey - not the easiest word, bit of a mix of English and French!
It also has no official coverage
Thanks! My pronunciation is sometimes a bit off 😅
Good point! I forgot it could only be official coverage in this map
I don't think Bali's big enough to not to see any coasts...
Yeah, you might be right 😄
