once again 1A Auto comes through with reliable and specific information, great visual representations of what you have to do. Your videos about Chevy Suburban repairs helped me before and now with my ram tensioner pulley having gone this is the perfect video. Thanks.
But what's the torque spec for that bolt on the tensioner?
Thanks for the great videos, I'm replacing lower idler pulley and tensioner on my 06 Ram and I can't seem to get both studs into the accessory bracket... does the larger stud on the right not go into a slot or hole? Thanks Again, Jim
Finally a guy that knows how to make a video straight to the point and doesn't talk you to death
some of the best mechanic channels for Ram are heroes

Since it’s a common question on here the torque specs are 30 pounds for this part.
I just put in my new tensioner in a 04 ram 1500 5.7 v8 slt , it seems that the bearing stud on the right side Just rests on the side and only the left one has a pre made hole for it , just curious is it supposed to be like that or should I take it apart and check again? Btw like in the vid I have the fan and reservoirs in the way so it's hard to see...
Same issue here did you have to align the studs in the holes or leave the one side out and put on belt?
rhettbruckner did it really suppose to be like that ? The same thing happened to me and just want to be sure ....
Please, I want to know a serpentine belt number of dodge ram 1500 v8 57 model 2008 Thank you
I guess i don't torque the bolt?
Great video! I have 04 Jeep Grand Cherokee overland 4.7l. with 160k. Just yesterday the belt destroyed the idler pulley. Should I replace tensioner and idler pulley only or the whole assembly?
Very informative and great video and photo diagram descriptions.
I have a 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 4.7L. I tried the 15 mm and 14 mm socket but fits big. The 13 mm socket fits a bit better but still does get it loose. I get to turn it clockwise but don’t know if I’m doing it right as it does not loosen up at all.
Turn it counter clockwise to loosen.
what size bolt was used? thanks
My tensioner is good, but the bearings are going in the pulley. Do you sell just the pulley?
+Johann Von Marck Please take a look at part number 1AEIX00003 which is an idler pulley for a 2003-2008 Dodge Ram 1500 V8 5.7L.
Is the serpentine belt the same as a timing belt.
No
no, 5.7hemi has chains
Mine is not 15mm on my 2009 dodge ram 1500
03-08 in the videos title
