    Wow, how much you do for our children, thank you. Awesome children they sure are. I enjoyed their company. I cannot wait for the schools to reopen and our centre learners too meet all of you.

      Thank you 🙏 But I'm merely filming and spending time with them in the water, which I also really really enjoy myself 🙌🏼
      I hope the school will be allowed to reopen before I'm going back to germany - as it would be great to meet all your learners and follow you for a full day being a teacher and filming all the good things you do for your community =)))

      Thank you Steve - but you're the real MVP here for sending a donation our way 🙌🏼 Olli and Iris were really happy to see a donation as they're currently in the process of paying lawyers to set up the legal entities so company's can start making donations, which will then of course give the project a real lift.
      It also gives my RUclips work some credibility and I couldn't thank you more for that - I can't even put into words how really really I appreciate that.
      On another note - how is that bowl riding of yours coming along? I feel like I've been too removed from surfskating these past weeks. But I have a tutorial video coming up, where one of the local grooms will teach my audience, he really has that frontside carve-to-tailslide unlocked like a pro 🤙🏼

      @@ChrisGenau My pleasure, my friend.
      So the more I practiced bowl riding, particularly frontside turns, the more I realized how many body issues I have from years of surgeries and trauma. Tightness and misalignments. It was actually the main reason why I was having such a hard time with frontside turns, without realizing it.
      So I've been going to yoga every day for about three weeks. I wasn't able to practice in the bowl for the past month because of a lot of stuff going on. But I've been cranking hard on that flexibility.
      So then I just started hitting the bowl again three days ago. And I've been amazing by my progress already. I'm getting WAY more flexible and that frontside turn is really starting to feel natural.
      I've just been doing frontside reps. But tomorrow morning I'm going to get back into the bowl again and hit some lines.
      I'm at day 19 of filming now. So just 11 more days and I'll have my footage for my 30-day progress.

    As a snowboarder, we wax the underside to make it slide more easily, thank you to "Bourne" (?) at 5:50 for reminding me that in surfing, you are waxing the topside so your feet don't slide off! Amazing kids, they are so cool and full of positive energy.

    • @ChrisGenau
      @ChrisGenau  3 года назад +1

      yes that for me was always the most intriguing part about it - how full of positive energy they are!!!

    Looks like they had a great time, well done!
    I'm wondering though: What's the point of putting masks on the kids and having restrictions in the cars, when afterwards they go back to their town where they're in close contact and no one bothers with masks because nothing happens anyway. The entire world has gone mad, everyone follows these covid rules without using their brains.

    • @ChrisGenau
      @ChrisGenau  3 года назад

      Thank you so much!!! Yeah I don't really understand either, but here in Namibia there are road blocks and police checks, and if there's too many people in the car you're getting busted.
      I'm not a big fan myself and I definitely question the methods, but when we're in plain sight of the authorities, we try to follow it as good as possible
