I'm 70, look 50 😊. This guys are incomparable. My dad introduced me to this music. I'd rather die without music, specifically of this kind. All of them are simply perfectionists of the most sensible sound in the world. John Lewis was one of a kind. His music will come with me to the unknown world. Just euphoric when I listen to them. Sadly, I'm a jazz loner in the cult and beautiful East coast of Mexico. But, music is kind of a best friend. Love you guys lovers of the MJQ. 🇲🇽

It would be great if they would give credit to members of the quartet. Who plays the bass and percussion?

I love how they have their own world, which I would love to reach someday

    この映像は武道館の日本公演ですね。レーザーディスクで販売されました。ラストコンサートを最後に解散後、MJQが再結成すると発表されてからの最初の世界公演が日本からだったと思います。

      コメント間違えました。この映像の前に Softly as in a morning sunrise を見ていてコメントしたと思っていました。 おっしゃる通りブルーノート青山のこけら落としでMJQがゲストで演奏した時の物ですね。聞きに行ったので良く覚えています。

They have been known to walk out on their crowds if they weren't listening. Had the privilege of seeing them live some five times growing up in Ny in the 60s and 70s. one of the most enjoyable experiences of my life.

I really don't understand why I being Mexican, honor so much jazz muscitians that Americans seem to have forgotten. This is fine music played with so much joy. Love it!

I don't recognize the guy in the piano as John Lewis but he did an excellent job.
