This morning recorded depositions were shown from Heard’s former assistant Kate James and the couple’s marriage counsellor Dr Laurel Anderson who detailed their “mutual ab*se”.
Earlier the court heard from the actor’s sister, his artist friend and neighbour Isaac Baruch, who gave especially colourful testimony, and the building manager at their penthouse apartment.
Depp claims a 2018 article written by Heard in The Washington Post - in which she spoke about d*mestic vi*lence towards women - implied Depp, her former husband, was an ab*ser.

“Amber Heard’s former neighbour today told the High Court that police said they had “enough” to arrest Johnny Depp for domestic assault following a fight between the former couple at their shared penthouse in Los Angeles in 2016.

There's no reason why that woman should be paid less than $50 an hour for that position. The majority of those positions are a minimum of around 80,000 a year. I know because I've had friends in those positions. My good friend Darcy still is And do so for a big p*** star and still makes over 100k a year.

I'm a domestic abuse survivor and I'm totally on Johnny's side from what I've heard about this case. AH is a sociopath and enjoys inflicting pain upon others, mind games, and imasculating Johnny! Very toxic to anyone who is around her and after a while people get tired of that toxicity but unfortunately feel very trapped as to what to do about the situation..inwhich makes AH feel empowered to be bad and to do bad things...very narcissistic behaviors!

Its unfortunate how difficult it is to win cases like this. It doesn't matter how much first hand testimony you have, they seem to want video evidence or nothing. They can convict murderers based on witnesses, but they can't rule in favor of the obvious victim with defamation cases. Love the justice system.

I'm no lawyer, but my understanding is that as a lawyer one of the biggest rules is "Never ask a question you don't know the answer to."
It seems the the defence is CONSTANTLY asking questions they don't know the answer to, or at the very least questions they expected a different answer to. It makes me wonder what kind of discovery/investigating did the defence do before the trial, because surely this is either a case of gross incompetence, trial throwing, or believing bad intel.

There's a rule of thumb about not asking witnesses questions of which answers you don't know (because it'll destroy your case). This lawyer did not do his homework or he was desperate and thereby becoming self destructive.

Yes - Johnny honestly doesn't owe anyone rent-free living. I, too, feel that Johnny may sometimes be a little bit too nice. I feel really badly that Amber fired Ms. James!! I tend to believe Ms James' testimony that she was/is a stellar personal assistant who didn't deserve to be fired. But it also wasn't Johnny's responsibility to turn around and do that for her, you know? I hope she finds a way to return the favor someday. 🙂
