Buyer beware! I bought one at Costco before the holidays and promptly bolted it to my porch. It is a well made product, that is not the problem. The problem is neither FedEx or UPS will use it. I've called both of them and they explained to me they will NOT deliver into a parcel lock box that has a pin code entry because they believe it's a security issue (if one person learns the code, they can take ALL of your packages). Now I have this darn thing bolted to my porch, completely, all I can do is complain on the internet and warn others.
@@learningthehardway6186 I didn't know that. I just bought one on sale and had not yet assembled it. I plan to put it in view of my video camera, but I will need to keep that in mind. Thanks.
muchotone best of luck. I bought one on sale but haven’t gotten a single delivery placed in it. They either set the package right on top of the box or ignore it entirely and place it at the door. I’ve though about just leaving it open too, so all they have to do is close it. Great idea but I don’t think delivery drivers will use it until it is forced.
Great idea in theory, but practically useless in reality. I have not been able to get a single delivery placed into the box, even using the instructions directly from clevermade’s website. Now I have wonderful holes drilled in my entryway concrete for something that is going to get returned.
Great question! You can update your delivery instructions to include your LockBox code and this works for UPS, USPS, FedEx, and Amazon. Learn more here: www.clevermade.com/pages/fedex
This is perfect for shared mail. Where you can lock it there for other renters so they can get their mail
A single pin code for everyone is a security issue; should be trackable as to who used what code.

Why can't you just leave it unlocked for the delivery service to just put the box inside and close the door? Is that an option?
@@64north20west Not a bad idea, actually, I'll check on that. Thanks!
muchotone leaving the box open allows anyone access to the reset button and battery compartment. They could easily reprogram the pin.

How would the delivery man remember the password?

Can you change the codes?
The screws sent to assemble this product are complete garbage. They are too big for the holes that are pre-drilled
