As far as the torn tutu, I would tell the customer that I take a lot of pride in my work. I make them, inspect them and hand-pack them myself and would never send a damaged or inferior product.
I was wondering if it was torn opening the box with scissors ✂️ a knife 🔪 or other sharp object.

Sweetie I’m a retired shipping manager and it would be worth it to take pictures of your items after you place it in the package because there are people that will try to get over but if you show proof of your item in great condition before shipping you will not hear from them most of the time. Love your work

Happy New Year to you! You do beautiful work. The time, effort and special attention to detail put in each piece there is no way you would send a tutu out in that condition. There are some people in the world who purposely damage things then lie about what happened even to point of pinning it on the seller to either get a new one or a refund. This happens quite a bit in retail, especially in apparel. A person will wear something then return it for a refund. Do not let this get you down. Just keep going. All the best.

To stop the fraying on the fabric you use as ribbon use pinking shears scissors and also no fray spray.

I hope you didn't ship it out until you got confirmation. And if they did something crazy by not sending the tutu back and they got a brand new one. Band them from your site. Because I here people do that to Amazon. Send anything back and get their money back and keep the item thats not even messed up. Love your work. I have all the supplies to make what you make. But don't have the time and energy. But mostly the energy sense I work mon - Friday.

That happened to me before and I just so happened to have video and pics of that order and they said they snagged. Now I take pics and videos of ALL my orders no matter how in a rush.
Sorry last thing...do you do anything to fabric to stop it from fraying...I see alot of fabrics that I wanted to use for tutus but I didnt want to since the fraying. TIA
