Just a tip, with the second customer complaint, you should write in your products on etsy that only you would accept refunds on items if they write you up to 3 days after they recive the product, 48 hrs only. Or just no refunds on handmade products, so this bad experience would not happend again.
I'm certainly praying for your family. Years back my grandmother had the same diagnosis and illness. It was stage 4 and spread quite a bit. She survived and she's cancer free now for 10 years. There is hope and it will be okay. It will be hard but it will get better. Much love to you and yours.

About the 4 star review....I would imagine that a lot of customers do not realize how important a 5 star review is. If I wasn't selling on Etsy I wouldn't understand how important that 5th star is. Don't beat yourself up about it. You do beautiful work, have great communication skills and care about what you are creating. You are making lots of mommas and little kids happy so STOP being down on yourself. You should be proud of what you have created. Be a duck. Let some of the negative just roll off your back. In the long run it won't matter. Oh and also you should be so proud that you have inspired so many other women that have started a business like yours and are making extra income that is so needed. I have it stated in my policies on Etsy they have to contact me within a specific time frame if they are requesting a refund or to cancel. Oh casandra 😢 4 star reviews aren’t bad as long as she praises your work jaja 😛 and in regards to the lady that complained about the ends not being sewn together, a few months ago I had this lady complain about the same thing but I addressed it by educating her as to why I choose not to sew the ends. I explained that if I were to sew those ends together the stitches will show since the tulle is so see through and that I believe it looks better if I just sew the ribbon ends. I apologize if she doesn’t agree with me but that all tutu makers do it the same way. I never recommend any of my customers to contact Etsy as I always explain to customers that Etsy works for us, I decide if I want to refund anyone, I also cancel all orders for rude customers. If a customers ever gets a bad attitude via message, I respond by letting them know rude messages will not be responded to and that if orders have been received a refund will not be an option as per store policy. Trust me Cassandra I get a lot of returning customers and I always praise in my store announcements that I have the best customers for always being Kind and providing us with so much positive feedback. Mentioning this has minimize all those complaints 😂 is like no one wants to be the bad customer in my shop. But I’m always on top of my orders so everything runs smooth. Hope this helps

I would have explained that Etsy expects a 5 out of shops for customer service and satisfaction and if that is accomplished and she was happy then she should have given back a 5. Cancer really sucks. My older sister who is 37 she was 36 when she was diagnosed with adenocarcinoma Ovarian Cancer stage 1 she has been married for like 14 years and hasnt had any kids and already lost her right ovary and most of her left. Its been hard on all of us in the family she conpleted 6 rounds of chemo kast eyar and this year her kevels went back uo and shes on her second round of 6 again. It has highs and lows you get good news then it can pop back up. Sometimes i cry alone but never infront of her. I buy her a gift every time she completes a chemo so she can look forward to something after and we clean her house and some days just stay with her to keep her company because depression also is very common. Im going to oray for your dad too. It really takes the whole family to fight this. ❤
I’m so sorry my sister has always had issues getting pregnant as well she just had surgery to remove a tumor from her uterus thankfully it was not cancerous, and we hope she can now conceive. I will pray for your sister as well 🙏

Let me start by saying you, your family, and especially your dad are in my thoughts and prayers. I’ve been through cancer with both my mom and dad so I completely understand. 2. I always think of Pam’s video when I get less than 5 stars, some people will never give 5 stars even if everything is perfect. This past month has been 🤯 on etsy, I had my first case opened against me due to something not arriving in time. It was shipped but hung up some how with usps, she didn’t leave a need by date and said she didn’t think She needed too, I told her I ask for a need by date on ALL orders. Of course etsy decided with her but thankfully they covered the refund! So that was very frustrating! Try and keep your head up and stay strong! Your products are amazing
Yes, some people you just can't please. They have you running around and doing extra customer service and they don't appreciate it. Sometimes you just can't sell to people like that. Don't worry about packaging it's not that.
Thoughts and prayers with you and your family during your time of need. As far as the Etsy customers...people have gotten NASTY since lockdowns. Everyone wants something fast for free and are not understanding of handmade items and one person businesses. Etsy has also pushed big business instead of small business and forgot where they came from. One of the biggest things that bugs me that is obvious is shipping. They tell you you are overpriced on shipping and what you charge only covers actual shipping cost not to mention the the materials(boxes, labels, tape, etc.). So for your packing I think it's great...no mess, functional, simple. It has gotten ridiculous how people are so quick to leave crap reviews. Karma will get them! Keep your head up, you make beautiful items!

I am so sorry to hear you are going through a rough time. Etsy can be a lot on a good day. I also make birthday outfits on etsy, and it is amazing what people will try to cheat you. I had the same incident with the tutu, but it was a solid color one, so only 1 seam, and the lady wanted a refund saying it was defective. She also told me that she needed to wait and order because her daughter keeps changing her mind on what she wants. So frustrating! Hang in there, May will be a better month for you!
My Mom had colon cancer many years ago y gracias a Dios sigue vivita y coliando. Even though the doctors gave her less chances of survival than other people she knew that were also patients back then, she survived and sadly many others didn't. Ella siempre dice que fue su actitud y que se mantuvo siempre con el pensar que ella quiere vivir, sin importar lo desgastada que se sentia desps de la radiacion y quimo siempre decia, "Dios quiero vivir por mis hijos." I am the oldest and back then I was 13, my baby brother was only 1 or 2. Dile a tu papi que estamos todos orando por el y aunque se que es bien dificil que mantenga una actitud positiva y no se rinda nunca! Son guerreros y saldran adelante.

Last June I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma cancer and this happened 8 mths after my mom died. My family was in chaos. We called on our God and savior and after several rounds of chemo, stem transplant and PRAYERS my cancer is now in remission after 10 mths. Rally with your dad that's what my family did for me. Feed him when he can't eat for himself even if it's only ensure he can consume. Keep him hydrated and small exercise is recommended to keep his muscles active

I got banned from Etsy for one case out of 309 sales. It was a Halloween order & she didn’t read my turn around so she contacted me 5 days after ordering asking when would it ship. I told her my turn around was 2 weeks and she said she just needed it before October 31st. So she messages me two days later asking when would it ship and I said today (Monday) she asked when should it arrive & I said probably Wednesday or Thursday (10 days before Halloween) well it arrived on Thursday and not Wednesday so she demanded a refund and insisted she would also keep the dress as well. I said no I’m not doing both so she waited and escalated a return and it put my balance in the negative and then suspended my account over it. Even after I paid it they kept saying it would be reinstated and it would reinstate but suspend again every midnight so I finally give up! Customers are hell sometimes

Cancer really sucks. My older sister who is 37 she was 36 when she was diagnosed with adenocarcinoma Ovarian Cancer stage 1 she has been married for like 14 years and hasnt had any kids and already lost her right ovary and most of her left. Its been hard on all of us in the family she conpleted 6 rounds of chemo kast eyar and this year her kevels went back uo and shes on her second round of 6 again. It has highs and lows you get good news then it can pop back up. Sometimes i cry alone but never infront of her. I buy her a gift every time she completes a chemo so she can look forward to something after and we clean her house and some days just stay with her to keep her company because depression also is very common. Im going to oray for your dad too. It really takes the whole family to fight this. ❤
I’m so sorry my sister has always had issues getting pregnant as well she just had surgery to remove a tumor from her uterus thankfully it was not cancerous, and we hope she can now conceive. I will pray for your sister as well 🙏

Let me start by saying you, your family, and especially your dad are in my thoughts and prayers. I’ve been through cancer with both my mom and dad so I completely understand. 2. I always think of Pam’s video when I get less than 5 stars, some people will never give 5 stars even if everything is perfect. This past month has been 🤯 on etsy, I had my first case opened against me due to something not arriving in time. It was shipped but hung up some how with usps, she didn’t leave a need by date and said she didn’t think
She needed too, I told her I ask for a need by date on ALL orders. Of course etsy decided with her but thankfully they covered the refund! So that was very frustrating! Try and keep your head up and stay strong! Your products are amazing
Yes, some people you just can't please. They have you running around and doing extra customer service and they don't appreciate it. Sometimes you just can't sell to people like that. Don't worry about packaging it's not that.

Thoughts and prayers with you and your family during your time of need. As far as the Etsy customers...people have gotten NASTY since lockdowns. Everyone wants something fast for free and are not understanding of handmade items and one person businesses. Etsy has also pushed big business instead of small business and forgot where they came from. One of the biggest things that bugs me that is obvious is shipping. They tell you you are overpriced on shipping and what you charge only covers actual shipping cost not to mention the the materials(boxes, labels, tape, etc.). So for your packing I think it's great...no mess, functional, simple. It has gotten ridiculous how people are so quick to leave crap reviews. Karma will get them! Keep your head up, you make beautiful items!

I am so sorry to hear you are going through a rough time. Etsy can be a lot on a good day. I also make birthday outfits on etsy, and it is amazing what people will try to cheat you. I had the same incident with the tutu, but it was a solid color one, so only 1 seam, and the lady wanted a refund saying it was defective. She also told me that she needed to wait and order because her daughter keeps changing her mind on what she wants. So frustrating! Hang in there, May will be a better month for you!

My Mom had colon cancer many years ago y gracias a Dios sigue vivita y coliando. Even though the doctors gave her less chances of survival than other people she knew that were also patients back then, she survived and sadly many others didn't. Ella siempre dice que fue su actitud y que se mantuvo siempre con el pensar que ella quiere vivir, sin importar lo desgastada que se sentia desps de la radiacion y quimo siempre decia, "Dios quiero vivir por mis hijos." I am the oldest and back then I was 13, my baby brother was only 1 or 2. Dile a tu papi que estamos todos orando por el y aunque se que es bien dificil que mantenga una actitud positiva y no se rinda nunca! Son guerreros y saldran adelante.

Last June I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma cancer and this happened 8 mths after my mom died. My family was in chaos. We called on our God and savior and after several rounds of chemo, stem transplant and PRAYERS my cancer is now in remission after 10 mths.
Rally with your dad that's what my family did for me. Feed him when he can't eat for himself even if it's only ensure he can consume. Keep him hydrated and small exercise is recommended to keep his muscles active

These customers are something else I have one who let her daughter swore an outfit and return it then telling me she didn’t wear it I told her I cannot accept a return because it was worn she said okay bye I will take it up with Etsy believe me it was worn and washed

I got banned from Etsy for one case out of 309 sales. It was a Halloween order & she didn’t read my turn around so she contacted me 5 days after ordering asking when would it ship. I told her my turn around was 2 weeks and she said she just needed it before October 31st. So she messages me two days later asking when would it ship and I said today (Monday) she asked when should it arrive & I said probably Wednesday or Thursday (10 days before Halloween) well it arrived on Thursday and not Wednesday so she demanded a refund and insisted she would also keep the dress as well. I said no I’m not doing both so she waited and escalated a return and it put my balance in the negative and then suspended my account over it. Even after I paid it they kept saying it would be reinstated and it would reinstate but suspend again every midnight so I finally give up! Customers are hell sometimes
She also had 100 photos of the kid on Facebook with the dress clearly happy

I did! She reported all of that to Etsy!! When I tell you I lost thousands a month in income over this lol
Etsy will punish you if you put a customer on blast on Facebook ect if they report it even if the customer is scamming you :/
