Man watching all these videos really makes me think DayZ on ps4 needs a lot of stuff added. Like a map or somewhere you can mark your friend and find them. Such a pain waking around for an hour trying to find your friend
You can do that, by getting a PC. Marking locations is a mod, which you cant do on console, peasant.
The worst is when yall 2 finally meet up you or him clip one another through a window not paying attention lmfao

Any recommendations how best to get involved in this game?
All depends on what you’re looking to get out of DayZ! Download the DZSA Launcher to find a list of modded servers you can join. Takes some time to find a good server that you enjoy, but DayZ can definitely be a lot of fun.
@@DexterDayZ thanks Dexter, ok firstly I’m in my 50s so tech savvy I’m not, I do have a PS4, so do I just buy the game and go from there?
What attracts me about DayZ is the long game, the interaction, and to try and survive, it also looks brutal, to think you could build everything up and loose it over night. 😂 is there starter servers or are you thrown in the mix with pro gamers, because I don’t see a very long life expectancy if that’s the case . Thanks again for your time, much appreciated. Looking forward to watching more of your content, subscribed.

@@fullenglish3371 the vanilla, default launcher works fine. DZSA charges monet for "support" and takes money to promote servers. A lot of issue people have been having logging into Frostbite have been solved by ditching DZSA.

This is only on the server Frostbite as far as I know, it's a custom built area. I'm not sure if the server is still up or not, but this location was on the western edge of the map past the Kamenka military area
