These lyrics you have... If I gotta compare them to the current subs that we have regarding the Geats opening theme...
You got like... 10% of them actually correct at most.
This is my opinion, but I feel like when you possibly go to do the English cover of the Full version when it releases in the future, maybe change up the lyrics a bit. I don't know where you even found these lyrics from, but something inside me is telling me that these were lyrics before any subs came out.
Thank you for your honesty! Though I am not sure how you are doing your math when determining if lyrics are "correct."
Unless otherwise indicated, I write most of my English lyrics myself and consider several factors when translating such as:
- Does a good translation already exist? For instance, I have been following updates to the lyrics on the Wiki since the opening was teased, in order to make sure I don't write anything wildly different from what others have translated. I also keep up with Geats each week to read their subs and make sure what I write is in line with the tone of the show.
- Does it convey the sense of the original Japanese? Does it flow well when sung in English? I try to balance these two because while I don't want to just be making up lyrics that shouldn't be there (which fandubs often do), I want it to retain the catchiness of the original. Perhaps to my detriment, I also consider whether the syllables and assonance of the English match with the Japanese. Shonan no Kaze is notorious for rhyming in both languages! For that reason, although the vocabulary and sentence structure may be different, I still try to match the sense of the overall phrasing from other translations.
- The biggest concession I will make is that the line "So come claim your place / Show me who'll be the Ace" was written before the sub groups had reached a consensus on "参加ならノークレーム 誰が乗るの？Ace" (beginning of October between Eps. 4 and 5). It was catchy and half-accurate, so I kept it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I don't know how much I plan on changing if/when the full version comes out, but I always encourage people to do their own research and/or sing their own versions if it makes them happy! At the end of the day, if it gets more people interested in Kamen Rider, I'm satisfied with the outcome. :)

Love the Revice stuff! Although, the TV Size English cover for Revice had the part before "Yo, hang in there" still sung in Japanese, but you redeemed that in the Full version, so amazing work with the covers!

Absolutely incredible. It's not easy to cover Japanese songs in English, because of the beat, the rythm and the flow of the words. But you've done it masterfully, not to mention your voice is quite similar to Tsumuri's voice. Which makes it even better!

This is amazing! many of the lyrics feel pretty satisfying and match well, though some parts need a slight adjustment,
For example, i feel like the lines "You want control? Or maybe diamonds? Love and Peace? Whatever your goal" would sound a little more 'natural' if it was more like "You want it all? Like Diamonds and Pearls? Or Love and Peace, maybe for all the world?" something like that. Still, its an amazing production and i still find myself singing this occasionally

This is just a thought but after hearing your take on Trust Last I can't help but wonder if Ace learning to trust in others again is how he achieves his final transformation.
By that same token at this point in the story, Keiwa might be getting pushed to become how Ace is, not being able to believe in the best of people.
