    The streets look clean, I remember these streets in the late 60’s early 70’s and by then a lot of them looked tatty. Slum clearance followed and I remember my father taking me around the suburbs in the mid to late 60’s and seeing the huge rows of condemned houses and burning heaps of rubble. Thanks for the memories.

      Slum clearance was a blessing. A lot of these houses were cold and damp.

    Another great video, Im from stockport and a lot of these images look as though I could picture where abouts they may possibly be..but know im wrong ha ha Each one of those pictures and peopel in them has a story ...love looking at these, thank you again and have a great weekend!     It's clear some of these images are from the 60's and even 70's but it's really good to see what the
    area looked like back in the day. I'm just old enough to remember gaslights and cobbled streets.
