Is there a function for renaming the x-axis points? Or putting in more space in between the 2 facets? I noticed the x-axis points (1-1000) are overlapping with the next graph a little.

Thanks for the question, Adrianna! These things can be manipulated with the theme function. I did an episode a while back on themes (ruclips.net/video/CHApFmFoP_o/видео.html) that you might want to check out. To put space between the facets, you can use theme(panel.spacing.x=units(1, "cm")) - see ?units for the different ways you can specify the amount of space. To make the x-axis labels smaller, you could do theme(axis.text.x=element_text(size=6)) - see ?element_text for the arguments you can give that function. I didn't go into this here, because when the plot was finally rendered in the markdown document, the spacing worked itself out.
