I wonder how his quirk training is going to go.
For Izuku's hero name, you could go with the on the nose pick of Charlemagne or go with a Latin translation. Honestly something along the lines of the great paladin of Uther, the Lightbringer would a perfect fit for Izuku.
Maybe take some inspiration from how your Steampunk Izuku handled stain with iida? Have the hero and the 1-A students help handle the nomus and evacuation, and then when Izuku hears the cry for help, he goes and 1v1s Stain? Not without a fair amount scratches and dings to his armor, of course.

He did retire in canon when things got too rough, but he was still ranked number 9 so there has to be some balance
He's also hella old, so understandable when it got 'too rough' that he retired. It's probably not the best time to do so, though.
That being said... yeah, I can see these two lovebirds being freaky to all hell very consistently when they're alone lol
Man this is seeming great so far, I just finished rewatching the old one from a couple years ago where Izuku was an HPSC agent in the post war no quirk one (which I still absolutely love, only sad bout Ochaco but 🤷🏼♂️😂) but great series so far man. One sec imma binge then get back to you on the trauma thing im pretty sure your right(i mean you made the series) but hey ho fuckin monke brain at its best right now so
I think the ones with no, or the least, amount of trauma are: Raiju quirk(cause its only really social anxiety and i dont really know of you could count that but im not completely sure), Gravity quirk(cause of the self doubt), Incinerator deku(cause the dude jusg got bullied but it wasnt as serious as it was in cannon so i dont know if it would have the same effect), and Storm dragon(but im not to sure), multiple quirk aswell but i cant be certain on that one either cause of SPOILERS BTW SO POLITLEY FUCK OFF NOW :)

Incinerator had the whole issue with his arms. Gravity had poverty (although yeah, not trauma xD). Raiju had the whole deal with Jiro, being abandoned by his father, Himiko vanishing. Multiple quirk has the identity issue and not knowing if he's only one person or several

I said it once and I'll say it again please (I think his hero name should be this: campione divino più grande di Hachiman e Marte: il Paladin.(Which directly translates to Hachiman and Mars greatest champion: the paladin since he believes in hachiman due to his father and due to his Roman heritage having the Roman God of war Mars I think it would be perfect and think of it plus he has the Scales of War which is the black armor and weapons he's about to unleash on shiggy and the Scales of Peace is the golden armor that brings hope)
It would fall under the same problem of Aoyama's name. It's just too long, man xD
