Thank you so much, Emily!! They still sell the Chanel - and I found it at Macy's and at Chanel.com. I think they need to make it a permanent part of their collection. xoxo

Hi Abby, I’ve got the Chanel and the Tom Ford stick per your reviews, love them both. It’s funny because I also tried and disliked the Chantecaille several years ago, maybe I need to give it another try. I just tried the Stila Hide n Chic and I’m actually really loving it. It brightens the skin, gives a very natural glow, and is longer lasting than most of my other foundations. I tend to break out easily and have had no issues as of yet. I will say I think the shades run a tad dark and oxidize just a little so I may return for one shade lighter. Thanks for offering us an overview of your current favs:)

Erin- I have heard amazing things about that foundation and need to go and get it ASAP. Thank you for the tip about it oxidizing!! I will pick up a shade lighter. AND yes- I can't believe how much I love the Chantecaille FS now. CRAZY!!! xoxo

Hi Abby! As soon as you pulled out the TF Stick I thought "I really need to wear that tomorrow"! Lol I totally agree with all your choices although I would add the Estee Lauder Perfectionist, it gives the most beautiful finish ever. I have so many foundations (like I know you do too) that they are all my favorites when I'm wearing them! How's that for an answer? Lol They are all my children and I LOVE them all! xxoo

Yes, I have had a love hate relationship with the Chantecaille Future Skin foundation. Years ago, I kid you not I bought it and took it back 3 or 4 times as you did. What makes the difference with your skin today? Would you mind showing us how you apply it please? I love and have most of the others you loved! Thank you so much for doing this video!! xoxo

OK so first you DO NOT have wrinkles...I can't find one on your face. Loved this video which was so accurate and I must say that since watching your videos I have acquired all of those foundations except for the Cle de Peau cream to powder. I will go check that out the next time I go beauty shopping..lol I do love the Cle de Peau concealer and most things by them. I have been using the Chanel Vitallumiere Aqua this week and enjoying that which you also turned me on to. Like how light weight it feels.

You are the BEST Jill!!! You know I love the Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua and wore that for SO MANY years. I still love it-- just have not been using that much lately. Oh, how I love everything Chantecaille. I’m Porcelain in Future Skin, and I fear I’m running low. That could set off a panic button.😬 To stretch out Future Skin, I’ve been using Chantecaille’s Just Skin Tinted Moisturizer, but the lightest shade, Alabaster, runs a bit dark on me. I think it might oxidize a bit? I’m not sure, but I’m mixing a little Glo Solar Shade SPF to lighten it.
If anyone uses Chantecaille’s Future Skin in Porcelain, and also uses Tom Ford’s Traceless Foundation Stick, I’d love to know what TF shade is your match. Thanks, you guys are all awesome.
Abby, you aren’t a day over 25! Wrinkles? No way, girl. 😘 I’m loving your picks, and I’d like to experiment a bit ...particularly with something more travel friendly.

Tammy- I think I NOW feel the same way about that foundation. I just LOVE IT! I have not found the perfect match in the Just Skin either. BUT I do think thinning out the FS with the GLO SKIN is a good idea..... I hope someone pops on and shares their TF Stick color with you! And as always - THANK YOU!!! xoxo

Louise- I would see if you can do a little swoop through the cosmetics department and get samples of a few of them - specifically- Chantecaille- since I am obsessed with it and then report back and see which one might be the winner! LOL! I am a big believer of getting SAMPLES because I hate doing returns and would rather be happy with my purchase than have regret and have to return. Keep me posted. xoxo

One gel based “foundation” I didn’t get the hype either until recently is Bareminerals Complexion Rescue - I never thought it did anything and felt it would be greasy but I was shocked at how much I LOVE it. It sounds like the second one you mentioned. It looks like I’m not wearing anything but my skin looks good, and I have hyperpigmentation and scars. I don’t even need that much concealer. Have you tried Bobbi Brown serum foundation? It reminds me of the Tom Ford one.

Wendy- I have got to try that Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue again! That is another one I did not get the HYPE and bought several colors and did not like it but I bet I would now. Very similar to the TF. xoxo

I’m surprised that you haven’t tried (I don’t think so?)....the LaPrairie Essence in foundation. I love that stuff a lot. That sweater looks fabulous on you. Maybe this is a good problem? Saving me money! And yes- I decided to break out the red and wear a reddish lipstick. HOLY MOLY!!! Don't worry- I will be back to my black and grey tomorrow. xoxo

In addition to the Tom Ford stick, Chantecaille Future Skin, Chanel Les Beiges Eau De Teint, the Sisley Phyto-Teint Ultra Eclat, one of my favorites is Dior's Capture Totale Fond De Teint Serum Correcteur 3D Rides-Taches-Eclat Foundation ($82). I've been loving your videos and tried applying matte bronzer to the crease of the eye in the application of my Chantecaille glittery eyeshadows. What a difference it makes. Hi Abby! I just came across this video on your fave foundations. I bought the Chantecaille foundation in Ivory when you sponsored a free gift promotion from the company quite awhile ago. I must say I love love love this foundation. I was not expecting to like the thicker gel formulation as much as I do, but it seems to keep me from using too much. I use a Qtip to get it out of the jar. I love the coverage, it doesn’t cake, doesn’t settle into my wrinkles, goes on smoothly and oh my, the color match on me is truly perfect. I will definitely repurchase. I will have to try the Surratt now!

Kathy- that is another really great foundation. IT is definitely skin-like and glowy. VERY PRETTY. My skin had a little reaction to something in it- not terrible - just not something I can wear everyday. THUS, the reason I did not include it in this list but I have fussy skin and have had this happen with Guerlain. I think it may be the fragrance... So far I am really liking the Le Grand Serum but need to use it a bit more to give a full thumbs up and say it is worth the $$$. I hope this helps on both fronts. xoxo

I'm super oily, but I love radiant foundations!!! The trick is to buy the gel formulations that are oil free, which is why I love the Chantecaille, Surratt, and Chanel Les Beiges!!!! The water gels, which is also the type of day moisturizers I use, actually keep me from getting so oily!!! I still get oily, but it turns into a beautiful smooth radiance rather than a thick, uneven, lumpy layer of thick grease (which my other oily girls know exactly what I mean by🤣🤣🤣). I'm happy with my oily skin, I think it looks beautiful and radiant..........when it is CONTROLLED!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

My most repurchased foundations are La Mer Soft Fluid for my 12 hour work days; finishing up a bottle before I open the compact version I purchased, as well as Armani Luminous Silk. I'm working through what must be my 6th bottle of that and forcing myself to finish it before I go hard with the Dew Drop, which I have worn just a couple times. I enjoyed the Chanel just okay; plan on bringing it on my winter vaca next month so another chance for it to wow me. Haven't tried the Cle de Peau Cream to Powder, but do get a lot of use from The Foundation by Cle de Peau during winter months. I really want to try the TF stick, but have been holding off until I can get color matched in person. Wonderful video!

Hi Abby, I'm not sick of the Chantecaille yet. I still have my old jar, but I really can't use it because it's probably too old. I just save it for color reference. At the time I bought the Camomile, because it is light but has the yellow undertone. I like it because it cancels any red I have and seems to be very forgiving. I just placed an order for the Guerlain L'Essentiel in 02n using my $20 off from Sephora. There's probably a better color match, but I don't have the opportunity to try them on in person. I had a sample of it and I thought I looked good, so maybe I just got lucky color wise. Hope it wasn't just in my own head. I'll find out once I get it and wear it a few times. I am surprised that you wear such a dark shade in the Tom Ford. I have been looking at the swatches and your color 4.5 seems so dark. I want to buy it so bad, but still confused about my color. I'm thinking either Fawn or Pale Dune.

    • @AbbyBlissWhite
      @AbbyBlissWhite  4 года назад +1

M Wall-- I was matched to 4.5 during the SUMMER - so I could need a lighter shade than I have currently. This one is tricky- because I remember 4.7 pulling sort of grey.... Next time I am in Nordstrom - I will check out the shades again. And I think the 2n sounds like a great match for the Guerlain. Ahh.. the joy of finding the right shade!! LOL!

I agree about the TF stick as my Holy Grail. Thankfully, I was able to get matched while I was on a trip to Chicago. I live in Arkansas, and I only have a Chanel counter near me. I would love to try the other brands, but I’ll have to travel to get a sample. Ordering foundation online is so difficult in regard to shade range.

Hi Abby, thank you so much for this great review of your current favorite foundations. Totally agree with the Tom Ford traceless stick, every time I use it I feel my skin looks very nice, it is also my HG, I love it!. I also love the TF traceless perfecting foundation, I use it a lot on a daily basis to go to the office, is light to medium, simple to apply and looks natural, I love it. Another love is the La Mer soft fluid, it is amazing, I have also dry skin and this looks like velvet, so nourishing and comfortable. Another of my favorite is the Guerlain lingerie de peau, not sure why but looks beautiful, is the kind of foundation that I never go wrong with it. My last favorite is the new Sisley, I love it cause looks very natural and lasts very well during the day. I need to try the Chantecaille and the Tom Ford Soleil, very curious now, will ask for a sample. Thanks a mill! 😘😘❤️

At your urging, I’m giving it another try and will be surprised if I don’t fall in love with it this time because it seems like lately, everything that works for you, works for me. I’m curious, how do you apply it? With a brush, sponge, fingers? Do you use a primer? If so, what works best? Thanks Abby - I’m really enjoying watching your channel grow!

Hello Gina! So nice to hear from you! So I find it is best to stipple it on with a brush- I use my It Cosmetics Heavenly Complexion Brush. Hello Dayenne from the Netherlands! As far as prepping - when I am extra dry I like to layer hydration so I first cleanse, exfoliate with Lotion P50 V 1970, then add an ESSENCE to hydrate, then use a hydrating serum with hyaluronic acid, moisturizer, then SPF. By that point my skin is feeling pretty prepped for and ready for the SURRATT Dew Drops. Let me know if this helps or is too much. xoxo

Hi Abby. I was able to get 2 nice samples of the Chantecaille future skin foundation in 2 shades. I also got 2 samples of the Cle de Peau, The foundation as well, in Nordstrom today. I can’t wait to try these! The SA in Nordstrom is the absolute best! In another store they wouldn’t give me a sample but applied a shade way to light on me, then bronzed it up with powder. So, I can’t wait to try these new shades. I have the Surret dew drop foundation, and I absolutely love it! This was a new purchase. I even like it better than the new Laura Mercier luminous foundation. Sometimes I feel like the LM caked up on me in spots. But, the dew drop, I think is HG right now! I need to find a foundation or tinted moisturizer with spf now, since we moved here to S. Florida
Again, great review as always. And, I love the red sweater on you.

So much so, I had several compliments on my skin the night I wore it, even my husband, was like Wow! He told me that I look so glowy and beautiful. Did I or am I using something different on my skin. A friend wanted to know too. I told him, & said it’s just so crazy, crazy expensive. Guess what, he ordered it for me for Christmas! And the shade O40 is the most perfect match as well. We seem to have really similar taste in foundations. The only one I've tried is the TF Traceless stick and I have 3 different shades lol I need to start wearing it again because I usually only reserve it for wintertime. I live in a really humid climate and have oily skin. I want to try the others you mentioned because I have had a feeling based on reviews that I will like them. I love water-based foundations like the MAC Face & Body. I also love a gel texture. Is it just me or does the Traceless seem more like a gel than a cream? It just seems lighter and more water-based than oil-based. I'll have to check the ingredients but the formula is beautiful either way.
