Your littlenoised voice is kind of comfortably funny, and you kind of look vaguely as a slovenian DiCaprio. but whatever. Very good project, particularly because everything that you base on is totally useful and finally somebody that gives me the pitch of notions that I kind of need. Hope to meet you someday, there's one place in Italy, near slovenia that you should check out
Appreciate it a lot, but not sure about DiCaprio, though I have to say I get this sometime 😅 I'm glad you liked the video! And what place might that be, not a big country but we still do border on at least a few Italian cities!
@@SurvivingArt I’m not so far from Trieste, and I like Trieste. But you should check out (if you didn’t already) what’s Called Topolove. They say it’s very artistic and inspiring and you can even find a short half an hour documentary about it if you’d like. 👍. Happy you appreciate. And once again, perhaps we could meet over there someday, or maybe I would easily visit Lubiana that I never did before, and you could act as a tour guide maybe. In the main time I would check your website just out of curiosity. And if you don’t know the city and you kind of like this vibe, you should check even Uzupis , in Lithuania. ✌️
@@filippobincoletto2503 haven’t heard of Topolove but will take a look at it, sounds like an interesting place, I imagine something like Camden before tourists happened? Will take a look at Uzupis too, thank you:) as for a meet-up, when this pandemic is through and I venture outside my flat let alone another country (god its been a while, I’m so close to repainting flat just to get some variety into my life again) so when then love to, if you’re ever in Ljubljana just send a DM over Instagram or shoot me an email, always nice to meet new folks in the arts! :) And you are most welcome to inspect my page, you might like the artist statement generator:) and if find myself close to Trieste (never been!) I’ll send you some form of message, do you have IG or FB? Not sure if youtube has messaging🤔
@@SurvivingArt Nó, not Camden.. it’s just woods and kind of nobody knows it, it’s a kind of secret place that remained preserved in its primordial nature feel-alike status. It’s Postaja Topolove. The first two weeks of August there’s a festival and artists comes from all over. Strange, curious things like a house always open with a woman that is making bread all day long to give to people just in exchange of a story from them. It’s renown between some musicians, specially. It’s a kind of nobody town, there’s kind of 33 people living there. Good. As soon as will be possible we’ll meet, you found me on Instagram yet, It’s urbanspectrum, an art project based on urban unconsidered art, so I’ll take the chance to put it further even in Lubiana for shure. In Facebook I’m Filippo Bincoletto, look for it to your discretion ✌️
What if I have a BA in comparative literature and not in art? I am in my early 30s but i am a new self-thaught artist, I only have 3 artworks published in some online magazines and I tabled at 3 small eventa on Artist's Alley. So should I still put my education in my CV? Or what else can I write?
I'd state that, see no issue with having a BA in comp. lit. :) Also, I strongly believe formal education isnt the be all that it once might have been, others will of course say the opposite. I think the best one can do is to be persistent. I know a lot of folks who are self-thaught and are selling their works for thousands a piece.
We all start at some point!:) if you’ve never been in an art gallery, you should definitely find one that is near you or maybe take a trip to just explore art venues if your curious, depending on what kind of art you like, I really enjoy visiting places with old masters from the 18th century, you can just lose yourself in such places and look at what people made over the centuries, though contemporary exhibitions have their flair of course:) or do you live far away from any bigger city or town? In any case, if you’re interested to go into the arts professionally, I would recommend reading on the topic and exploring how it all works white of course making work and learning to make great works:) some great books I liked: survivingart.com/portfolio/a-list-of-my-favourite-books-for-anyone-who-wants-to-step-up-their-hustle/
Hey lumiii_i! I’ll check and fix the links today, had some work done on the page and might have been misplaced! Thanks for noticing, will send an update as soon as I fix this:)
Sorry for the really late reply, fixed the links for now, will update them with new pdfs as I'm currently overhauling my whole website. Thank's for telling me, hope they help!:)
Art is visual, so I like to use as many visual cues as I can without over saturating any document because a description of an image can never do the work justice and the same goes for photographs of oneself -- the artist's appearance and visual communication style in my opinion is an integral part of their body of work. But to each their own, of course! :)
what do you mean which companies? I'd start with a portfolio, a web presence (website, IG etc.) and going to as many openings and chatting to as many people you can for a couple of years. This is what helped me and many others a lot:)
Thank you so much! This was great!

Your voice is great, not sorry

Please do not put a photograph on your cv or logo please. Your portfolio should be enough to show all that
