For that first animation: the ancient greeks had a tale similar to it. The tale of narcissus, who many believe the term "narcissism" comes from. He was so infatuated with his own reflection that he died of thirst and starvation simply just to continue to stare at his reflection in a pond. He was then punished in hades realm of the underworld for eternity, although I don't remember how so. It's always ironic in ancient Greek tales, so probably either never being able to cast a reflection again, or being made not to like it but still have to stare for eternity or something🤷♂️ either way: that mirror surely must be an artifact that can emulate that tale in whoever looks into it! I see that inspiration guys😏

The painting of God one honestly has to be one of the best horror shorts that I've seen in a good, long while. The thing is that I usually really hate it when horror tries to go into religious territory. Like, it can still be done well, but it tends to take away from the horror in a lot of ways for me.

Yes!! You can see it fully if you watch on the original video rather than this one, I guess when Cory uploaded maybe some of the pixels got messed up from RUclips's compression. I highly recommend watching the video on Dylan Clark's channel to get the full creepy vibes LOL. Also when she's flipping back through the slides before she starts her second practice run, you see it shows up on the "portrait of God" slide too! Scared the crap out of me when I saw it

i think it was just a reference to social media and people literally putting on a happy face but their issues and things are just observed as entertainment by other people. The old guy is probably like a rapidly aging (noticeably creepy) audience of social media, who observes things they do and even buys the blood ice-cubes (maybe like people buy merch).
@@greatpower6063 This is without a doubt an advant-garde type clip, where a random idea is spouted to veiwers, leaving them to decide what to take from it. There are advant-garde documentaries that just display one image the whole time, just the colour blue. The ice cube vid is in some way similar, consistent pattern.

Deformed lunchbox makes that certain kind of horror that is hard to explain. It’s uncomfortable and weird, and it feel like it doesn’t make sense and has a deeper message. I love it.
I think that one is taking a hit on people who have done those challenges that are kind of extreme like the salt and ice on your skin one or the cinnamon challenge, how people know it’s harmful to do them but will do them anyways for the views and such? That’s my take on it

It's a theory that angels are supposedly ugly, and that's why they tell those they interact with to "do not be afraid". What if that 'monster' was god? Because usually it's the demons that look gorgeous, to lure you into temptation.
I'm not heavily religious, and it's been a second since I've read any biblical pieces, so I'm open to thoughts and input !!
Hey Cory :), this is my interpretation of Ice Trays:
Oki so my theory is that this is about self harm. I think the mom finding the ice cubes in the fridge signifies a mother seeing a glimpse of her child’s scars, or seeing some other thing that might lead the mom to think her daughter is self harming. The mom going to the daughter’s room and shaking the ice tray in front of her might symbolize the mom asking if her daughter is self harming. The daughter gets scared and says no and the mom goes back down stares. I think the mom licking the ice cubes might mean she started self harming too. Since the mom licks the ice cube almost like an addict it leads me to believe she got addicted to self harming too. As a person who dealt with self harm, when my parents found out I was self harming they didn’t understand why I would do that. My dad self harmed once after he found out in hopes of trying to understand why I self harmed. I think the mom did something similar except she got addicted too. The old man might symbolize the want to self harm. Every time you self harm he gets so happy and drinks it all up. Maybe the fact that the man is old means she’s been self harming for a while. The fact that the mom and daughter posted they’re wounds on the internet might mean it’s almost like they’re bragging about it? Maybe they’re guilt tripping people and saying stuff like “we go through more than you do so you can’t complain” Or ya know it might just be a weird video and I’m looking too much into it 😅
