The first sight of the ocean reminded me of when I was growing up in Malaysia and the excitement that would fill us at a similar sight. Once again, Nadine, your delight shines through and is infectious. Cheers and adventure on.

When I was a kid my family would do a summer vacation at the beach down in North Carolina (on the east coast of the US), and every single year I would be on the lookout for the first glimpse of the ocean. It made me happy then, it makes me happy now!

Thank you so much for sharing your walk. Like you, my wife and I walked the Camino Frances in 2014 and that was the start for us.

Thank you so much Caroline! (but... the walking's not quite done yet! I feel like I had so many 'endings' on this past summer's Camino, ha!)

Yay, well done Nadine!! Making it to Finisterre and watching the sunset was one of the best evenings of my life. Glad to hear your foot was on the mend (hopefully).

Felicidades!!! 🌹 🌹

I've always wondered what the experience of walking the Camino was like many years ago... I think very different than it is today, and yet, I'm sure some parts are still very much the same! I hope you'll be able to return to walk again :)

Great video as usual. The Romans used to travel all the way to Finisterre, the end of their known world, just to watch the sunset. Some said they could hear the sun fizzling as it dipped under the sea.

I stayed in Cee back in 2014, when I first walked to Finisterre, and I really loved it there! I think it's a great place to stop if you want to split the walk (Santiago to Finisterre) into 4 stages

My day three to Finisterra was just over a month ago and it rained the entire day but I still enjoyed it. It was also very foggy so it’s nice to see what I missed.😂

I've always thought that a rainy/foggy day on a particularly great Camino stage is a reason to go back!!

Nadine--Gorgeous ending to the journey--at least this ending so far? I have always gone back and forth over if I want to continue the walk out to Finisterre after I arrive in Santiago, but I think this convinces me I should keep going for a few more days.

I do think a lot of pilgrims feel finished when they reach Santiago, but personally, I really love continuing on to the coast! It's a very nice walk and much quieter than the last stretch into Santiago.

Next Time for my second camino ( I will do the camino ingles) I want to walk to finisterrae and muxia too. This time I had tallonitis for the last 4 days in both feet and still struggling with tendinitis on my right foot ( after 2 weeks) so it was impossibile for me to keep walking as I was in so much pain ! You were very strong to keep going!!

I think you'll really love the walk to Finisterre and Muxia (I haven't walked the Camino Ingles yet, but the two together sound like a really nice Camino!) And sometimes it is the best and smartest thing to stop when the body is experiencing pain. I really wasn't sure what I was going to do when my foot first started really hurting, but in the end it was okay! I feel really lucky and am so grateful that I could keep going :)
