Loved your talk sir! Leading a road untravelled is the most difficult thing to do! Leaving cosy , so called reputed jobs ,hats off sir. May God give you enough strength to pursue your novel objectives.
One of the most inspiring talks that I heard in long time... Fills with meaningful purpose in life.. Raw diamonds metaphor is very powerful... thank you Rajan...
I have been following him since last 6 years I guess. Discovered him on Quora. I was amazed by his academic achievements. Also, the time when he started his new venture with ConceptOwl. I also attended few of his early morning risers online workshop which he used to conduct in the very initial phase of the lockdown, which I guess eventually lead him to start another venture called ‘HabitStrong’. So much to learn from him.
Great man Great Job SIr Resigning IPS For the sake of rural people who has lake of knowledge Requires A Strong Will. I salute uh & promise uh I will do whatever I can for them .
There is a catch 22 here ... Education alone will not change india The business climate needs to change so that real Innovation can happen, only through REAL innovation, India can become a rich country. We routinely hear that millions of Indians are overqualified for their jobs, If education alone could fix all problems, there should be no overqualified people at all. The main issue with India or for that matter developing countries is productivity and automation issues You should be in ias and do something good that's where the maximum impact can be ... Not teaching rural kids Your iit example has one flaw ....only x amount of people win the IIT lottery .... Getting more people to study for IIT is not the solution. Do we need billion Indians to mug up science concepts, how does it actually help ?? I would say need billion Indians to know more about laws and economics than science coz that actually affects them in reality.
But unfortunately you are incorrect. There have been IAS for the past 70 years looking to improve things, but really amounting to nothing, because the change needs to come via being a citizen and not being a government official with infinite power(who are always known for corruption) The point is not to get people to iit lottery, instead get rural people have better learning, which empowers them to decide what to do next, and take the correct decision for themselves, as he took for himself by going for IIT.
@@randompersonwholovestoknow3731 I am comparing a good IAS officer vs a person who teaches kids to crack IIT exam, a good hard-working IAS officers can add a lot more ( 1000x ) value than an IIT exam coaching teacher. Having said that, there are many 1000s of brilliant hardworking IAS officers in India, if not for them India as a country will collapse by them, unfortunately, we don't hear about these great officers we only hear about the bad ones who get caught in bribes etc . This is not to say the common man shouldn't change and become worried about India etc, they definitely should, but we should ignore the great contribution of great IAS officers ( the silent warriors of India )
@@krishnayogi the interesting thing is inspite of these so called great ias officers, there is rampant corruption, with least amount of groundwork. There is extreme poverty, no education and healthcare in rural areas, and India is one of the poorest country in the world. We won't respect a person who took a plunge to create an ngo to teach these kids, with no access to proper education and is succeeding to an extent, but still respect a profession which has failed at most levels across the country, to do something which is not in their job description(educating rural kids).
Well said Ranjan 👏🏻.. Do what you feel happy.. one life! I always say if you wake up in the morning and not excited to go for work then that’s not right job for you!
If he had not left job in equity firm. He could build some coaching centres in remote areas & helped many more & created jobs for educated teachers. This was blunder I suppose . Now again he will need to raise funding & do the same.
their are some people who are busy filling their pockets....they think that these piece of paper can give them every thing... some people who are busy gaining power...and yet their are some ....who want to give back to their society...,their village..what they have earned...
