How to Grow Hollyhock From Seed

I had my first Black Hollyhock this summer, Gorgeous... Started it from a long root that I bought from Walmart a year ago last Spring, started it in the house, out of three only one grew. At least I got one 👋 Of course now I am hooked 😀

Grow the plant and after it flowers, collect some seed and grow more Hollyhocks for next year?

What do you use once the green foliage emerge at the following year so it blooms healthy flowers?

In Spring, just any fertiliser will do, just to give the plants a boost. Dont over feed.

If seeds are sown in Autumn and grow big enough throughout winter, should have some flowers the following Summer. If sown in Spring will flower in 12 months time.
