A real piece of late 30s era workmanship! More nostalgia too! My dad had a 37 cream/yellow Plymouth roadster which was l parked in a neighbor's shed..... I'd spend hours on end sitting in it and play driving. He would have bought it in Cleveland, OH ..... However, I don't think I ever road in it. By the time I came along, he and my mother had graduated to a 39 Dodge sedan, which we had for years.
Great showing of another real piece of American automotive history. Btw, loved the "nice round butt" description of the rear of the car!! Lol

My father in law and his brother drove to California from Georgia in 1947 in a 37 Ford convertible to do surveying work, so he told me. It broke down once in Texas. Nice car 🚗

Am I the only one who thinks the 40s and 50s cars are looking better and better against the bland to outright ugly designs of many of todays cars?

I mean by the time you're paying 52000 for the car tags tags title fee's all of that you're going to pay 60,000 probably and you can't even drive it legally whoever does Restorations I don't give a damn who I want to put it in a show then I can't win any trophies if they put seatbelts in them that's the one thing that they should take away and not take away points on vehicles because it's a law that it has to be driven with seat belts in or what I'm saying I love the car but I'm not trying to complain I just I guess the people just leave it up to the customer when they want to buy it and do what they want to do to it I guess

I don't know about anywhere else, but here in Florida, " The law states that the front seat passengers must wear seat belts. This law applies to any car manufactured since 1968." I have a 1965 Econoline pickup with no seat belts, got pulled over for not using a signal when lane changing, and the officer confirmed I did not have to have seat belts because the truck was manufactured in 65.

I love the old car it's beautiful and I do a lot of this work to the vehicle and all of that it looks so nice hopefully the brakes are a lot nicer and all of it but the one thing they don't ever seem to do because of the laws we have in our country you cannot drive that car legally unless maybe you're okay to do it in a parade but nowhere did I see any seat belts at all so you couldn't really drive it legally down the highway without getting getting a ticket I mean you have to put seatbelts in the vehicles if you're going to drive unless you're going to put it on a turnstile in your home and just look at the f****** thing why bother having it

Have you ever thought of using a “period” at the end of your sentences?

Check the laws before you post. Cars built before 1968 weren't required to have seat belts and US law says you have no legal obligation to install them. I put retractable shoulder belts in my '53 Chevy pickup because it's safer and I feel naked without a belt.

I'm pretty sure it depends on the state, but for us in IL it seems there is an exemption for 1965 and older vehicles. Now what all the intricacies of that exemption are, how they play into different child seat belt laws and such...who knows.
