I appreciate your insight. So far personally I am finding more pros than cons… but I definitely see the struggles on the fb page. Communication definitely can be a con, you have to be really annoying to get a response sometimes by emailing everyone you can at once. The preceptorship being set up for us though is HUGE. Other schools make you find a preceptor and that preceptor can get sick or cancel on you too.
How you pass clinical? Is it by showing up or answering questions when being asked? Also, how about study? What did you used to pass with a good grade? How are there quizzes, exam done?
I'm applying right now and the traveling that might cancel is putting me off from applying tbh. I'm from CA and they said the cost is around $85,500 depending on credits you need. I looked up other CA places and it's 100k+! Just sucks that traveling might get cancelled.
@@luliefountain4768 so they dont guarantee that your clinicals won't have issues. There are some students that paid for plane tickets, hotel, and car just for them to cancel the clinicals last min. Hi I just stumble onto your video regarding an online school. You mentioned it was hard to get in contact with the teachers when needed. How did that work with testing and quizzes?
Hi, I am so glad I found this video. I am currently enrolled in another school doing my prerequisites for the bridge. I am hoping I can transfer if necessary but my school requires us to be present for core nursing classes. Are the sciences (A&P 1 & 2 and micro) all part of your program? Or were they not required? Mine have recently expired according to my school
Hi! This is very informative. Thank you for sharing. How long is the preceptorship? Also, what is the process of being a licensed RN in California after graduating?
Preceptorship is 10 12 hour shift (120 hours total). You have to follow your preceptors schedule so if they work 3 days a week it’ll take about 3 weeks
Also, it’s the same process as if you graduate from any school. They school will send your transcripts to state board and you’ll apply and pay all the fees, get finger printed, and wait to be approved. Then you’ll get your authorization to test and you can schedule your exam
