This episode had a really great story. I've noticed watching Miami Vice on DVD 15 years ago and now on Bluray that this show didn't do a lot of continuing story arcs as most of the episodes tend to be standalone only. As it does seem strange that whenever they do a 2 or 3 parter, the events those episodes seem to be forgotten by the preceding episodes ( the season 1 episodes with Dennis Farina drugdealer being the sole exception). Also has anybody else noticed how they keep using the names Guzman & Mendez for the variou different drug dealers sometimes within the same season. It's as if they couldn't think of new original names and just hoped the audience didn't notice.

Danielle wasn't the only female antagonist killed by crockett, he killed lois blyth in self defense in ''Love at First Sight'' and a blonde hitwoman in ''Rock and a Hard Place''

I'd sure love to know what happened for the end of the series Burn Notice. I watched it religiously and I never saw the series ending episode. Anybody got that where they can put it up for me to see would be terrific
Zito is the original Ace Ventura, and it's most obvious in this scene! They have far too much in common in general too -- hair, fashion sense, work and live in Miami, and are comedic.

Loved this episode, loved this chase scene with Jan Hammer's track. Bandi was the terror... until he ran up against two vice cops that hunted him like a deer in the woods!

The drawbridge in the scene was the sw 1st street bridge. This drawbridge has been rebuilt with a much beautiful replacement, still a bascule.

For me The Prodigal Son is among the best of the whole series and Season 2.
