I guess the secret to climbing the ladder is to build a Shadow Rager deck, then magically prevent all of your druid opponents from drawing a Swipe and all of your warrior opponents from drawing Ravaging Ghoul.
And all of your mage opponents from doing their tempo combo, and all of your shaman opponents from having Maelstrom portal. It's interesting to see the potential of the card and this deck though.

No, Patches isn't a 1600 dust boar. It's a charging pirate Wisp with Battlecry: Draw a card. While it's not completely busted, it IS indeed an extremely powerful card.

More precisely a 3 mana 5/1 with stealth.
ghoul and other similar effects got outed of the meta by jade golems, swipe and flame juggle are pretty much the only things that kill it if played on turn three.
The one turn delay is on playing the minion after paying the mana, not on attacking.

I noticed kripp always tries crazy decks that noone would even think of, and he surprisingly always has succes, that he didn't expext.
I like how this deck has no cards above 5 mana except for Ragnaros. Somehow good old' Firelord is almost approaching Dr. Boom's levels of omnipresence.

@Kripparrian, do you think making Ragers and other elementals immune to the same type of element they are made of would make the game strategically more interesting? Having a Fire Rager immune to Flamestrikes, Pyroblasts, Fireballs, and even the Mage's Hero Power, would turn them into an interesting tactical pick, I guess, and for sure it would imbue them with a more RP-appropriate feeling. But I was curious about your opinion about how this would affect game balance.
I don't think I've ever seen Kripp reply to a YT comment. From a balance standpoint they'd still be bad cards and wouldn't see play not just because the stats would be bad but also because that change would pretty much only affect mage's ability to deal with them.

Battenberg91 Well, I was thinking about board clears as Hellfire too from Warlock. After all, any creature with just 1HP and no special power at all tends to be pretty sucky - the Stealth gives the creature a considerable edge, but else they are really not worth playing, in fact.
Since Mage is a pretty competitive and flexible class (a lot of CC and board clears), I was thinking that a counter-mage deck could benefit of that modification, along with improving slightly cards that, on teir own, are pretty... worthless, let's say.

Weirdly enough Blizzard rally listened to the comunnity in Mean Streets of Gadgetzan. One of the problems I had was that Rogue had no deck in the Whispers era, but now it has variety and can get things done

I called it! Everyone assumed it would be completely worthless like other Rager Cards, but the Stealth makes it somewhat usable. Is it still pretty bad and only lives one turn? Yes, but it can be very useful for doing burst damage and is a significant threat when their low on HP.
someone plz explain why patches is good. Its literally a stonetusk boar that comes out of your deck.
Atrinoch yeah but you don't have to play any mana for him. it's an entirely free stonetusk. the biggest part is it comes out of your deck, so you don't even lose a card your hand.
It basically gives you a 29 card deck as long as you dont draw it before you play another pirate and this simply gives you a chance advantage to draw the other, better cards in your deck. I myself am not overwhelmingly impressed by the simple mathematical advantage, but this is the real value of the card.
For tempo, but it's not neccesarily good, it just provides you with added tempo if you have pirate synergy, and end up not drawing him.
Atrinoch It's like a 0 mana ping. uses 1 space On your deck but om a fast deck it doesnt matter.

Been playing One Eyed Cheat in Wild Pirate Rogue and holy shit, it's been MVP. Similar idea, much more synergy.
Ship's Cannon + Patches + Gang Up is also disgustingly fun.

MeldinX2 even if drawn, it's a pirate activator, and it is still a 1 1 for 1 w charge, which can be good, albeit in a limited aspect. so yeah, it's insane, just mildly less so sometimes.

Антон Некрасов As someone who Plays Dragon priest, I usually concede after patches arrive
4 slots that are dead draws against any other matchup, and since all the other matchups except for the Pirate Warrior are midrange or control, all the draws matter, and you end up losing to those decks because HS is a BO1 format game where you really can't meta call specific decks without getting destroyed by all the others.
