New video released by the NFL on reporting after the game shows how Skipper was registered as reporting and Decker wasn't. All game, Skipper had been the only one reporting, and every time, he ran off the sidelines toward the official with his left arm raised and right arm tapping his chest(as that is a universal symbol for reporting), and every time the ref recognized it as him reporting, because he was. On the 2pt play, he did the EXACT SAME THING(as another video angle shows), and the ref DID turn and see him running in before Decker ever got close to the ref. Skipper was recognized as eligible before Decker ever got to him because that was how Skipper had been reporting ALL game.

To cowboy fans saying, "but they had 2 more chances..." That doesn't matter. They executed in the clutch the FIRST time. @@K.A.T.W.M not necessarily. He sold it with the late break, he's 6'9, and he DID score a TD on this exact play before.. when he WAS reported correctly.
So why did #70 run toward the official brushing his jersey? More importantly, both McCarthy and Campbell acknowledged that they heard the official announce that #70 reported as an eligible receiver. Why didn't Campbell or a Lions player simply flag down the ref and say, "No that's wrong. #68 is eligible, not #70." There is no way around the fact that it was the Lions responsibility to make sure the official knew who was eligible. Again, when the ref made the announcement they remained silent. As a result, the Cowboys left #68 uncovered for an easy uncontested reception. For the Lions to win the game on a pass to an ineligible receiver would have been more unfair than requiring the Lions to replay the down. And that's what happened. Actually the Lions had not one, but two more opportunities to score; the first attempt resulted in an interception that was called back for a defensive penalty; and the second was an incomplete pass. Because the Lions didn't communicate clearly with the official, they were responsible for the miscommunication and were properly flagged and correctly prevented from benefitting from their own negligence.

For it to end that way just leaves a bad taste.
I think the Lions caused their own problems. If only one player can be eligible, why send three players to the ref. Personally I think the Lions won the game. The Lions were trying to hide which player was eligible from the Cowboys, and confused the officials. Not hard to do with the worst officiating crew in the NFL.
Rex said this tactic is nothing unusual. Coaches play that subterfuge game all the time. That's why coaches meet with the refs before the game and actually diagram out the trick plays they might run so this sort of thing doesn't happen. Dan said he did that and the ref still messed it up.
Rex Ryan said coaches have to draw up the EXACT plays they will run as far as eligible receivers are concerned and walk the refs through the plays BEFORE the game. The Lions did nothing wrong...the refs are pitiful..it is what it is. That's why Mcdc was so pissed...because he literally showed what play would be run and who would be eligible to catch the pass.
@@Lionize728 I clearly stated that this is the worst crew in the NFL. And I thought the Lions won. There will always be a “worst crew”. That is the one thing that will never change.

I’ll simplify it for everyone. Unlikely Brad did it DELIBERATELY, it’s more of a case of sheer laziness and lack of attention. But to blame the players after the fact in a statement is nothing short of egregious.
Refs screwed up by not officially acknowledging 68 as eligible, sure. Refs suck, we all know that. HOWEVER, had they done their job properly, the Cowboys would have been told by the ref that 68 was eligible instead of 70. 68 wouldn't have been open, period. So, who knows what would have happened on that play, but 68 sure as hell wouldn't have won the game. You got 2 more chances to win legit, and failed.

Sorry, too easy :)
Big pic - Giants fans are pullin' for Detroit.
If 70 is not reporting why he and another player who aren’t reporting walking towards official with the guy that is supposed to be the only one reporting. With seconds left and no time outs left is a crazy way to go about reporting as eligible. But again go for OT and win there.
We can put this to rest if no refs are no where near me if i got a shovel... and dont ask me to bury the hatchet if a ref is a😢nywhere near me in the woods😢😢😢
Sorry but I blame the coach...It's one thing to be aggressive but it's another thing to tie the score take it to overtime and give your offense another opportunity to take it home...Period
Offense struggled all day and the defense was gassed.
obviously someone tipped off Brian Allen...smh
Bruh you could be related to Stephen A Smith
I hope people stop blaming MCDC, AG, Def I mean we held them to 20 points when at they normally score 40+ at home. NFL as a whole needs to be investigated and Roger Goodell removed and refs need more punishment then not calling Playoffs or SB. We didn't play well but we played well enough to get the win. For it to end that way just leaves a bad taste.
We didn’t play well enough to get the win. We got the win, the refs took the win away
@@keyonclark7857 I didn’t say that the Lions did anything wrong. They outsmarted themselves.
@@Lionize728 I clearly stated that this is the worst crew in the NFL. And I thought the Lions won. There will always be a “worst crew”. That is the one thing that will never change.
@Sides1160 Your point is nullified by the refs being provided EXACT play action with X's and O's BEFORE the kickoff so now then...please tell me how the players caused the outcome of that penalty...I'll wait.
We better not get screwed again in the playoffs
Ain't shit gonna happen if it did! They won't talk about it or come up with some dumb ass excuses!
Unbelievable
On a different item, RUclips is putting different shows on the very end of the podcast. Like me, many times, I go to the end of the podcast to get a summary of what has happened. But the addon piece they're putting just anything on the podcast except the show that started. We have to watch youtube from now on BIG TIME.
Why does the head official still have his flag ? something is very rigged
Firstly, Happy New Year to all of you, my Lions brethren. This game felt awful like the Chiefs game, in that nobody really gave our Lions a chance, and most sports media pundits picked Dallas. I think this loss will add some extra starter fluid to the team and they will carry a large chip on their shoulders going into the upcoming Vikings game and on into the playoffs. Go Lions!
Exactly. You see how pissed Skip #70 was? You KNOW the first 3 play next week are gonna be runs, right behind him.
The league won't do a damn thing. It is much easier to screw over Detroit than admit you've got a serious problem with your officiating crews.
Good video king keep it real here
