Fun fact our army organize a inter regimental stallion racing competition of 3 categories
    Racing while carrying payload
Racing while land laying communication wire
And simple Racing between same weight category stallions
Except for the third regimants can chose different model of stallions based on their strategy some like to use light weight trucks while some chose heavy weight powerful engine . For payload racing there can be two personals (one driving anthe other navigating )in the stallions while for land laying there will be three (one driving one throwing the wire making sure there arent any knots while third makes wire gets layed properly)
My farther and his team won the national land laying division while using the heaviest stallions among the other participants.

These stallions got stuck during Kargil wars & army was forced to reuse old Shaktiman trucks which stallions were supposed to replace. Shaktiman were being made completely within vehicle factories of OFB from engine to brakes all. But stallions are obtaining lots of parts from Ashok Leyland & Engines from TATA motors ........ Big commission going in lobbyist's pocket. Ordinance board's factories basically went from being a manufacturer to being a assembly plant only. Stallions used in 1999 were MK1 or MK2 at most ........ I have seen manufacturing & testing of MK4s & they had alot braking issues. Hope they had fixed them in next generations of sets.

In this episode, the up linker said that Stallion, it's own weight being 7.4 ton build to carry 7.5 ton. I found nothing strange in it. Weight in the form of goods are carried in carriage area. If the space in the carriage area is spacious & strong enough to hold 7.5 ton weight ,the engine is powerful enough with strong chassis plus axle & suspensions why can't it will be failed to pull 7.5 ton weight!
It is nothing for stallion. Even the civilian trucks with less robustness is pulling 12-13 tons in 4 x2 (total 6 wheels) configuration.

Well I got an opportunity to sit in Army special Safari Strom. That car is mid blowingly fast Like in manual transmisson It reached 0-100 under 5seconds. That Blow my mind, becouse many sports suvs and expensive suvs do 0-100 in more than 6s. After reading its specs I got to know that it have 1200nm of torque...

Unfortunately Benz patented it's 6x6 truck with back 4 tyres have axles fitted like a tank. This helps the truck to climb steep slopes or uneven ridges, whereas conventional 6x6 could have its back tyres stuck in a dip or ridge and with weight it makes it difficult to lift up.

Please make a video about TATA trucks history in Our Army from Mercedes Benz Tata 312. They also deserve some mention in your video. These trucks also were in service alongside shaktiman and leyland comet. Have seen them in upper Assam in the 70s.
