Its crazy how unknown assetto corsa modders can make virtually perfect engine sounds, onboard and out of the car, yet EA with the much higher budget, and with annual revisions can't even come close.
EA/Codies practically have a monopoly on F1 due to the license, meaning there’s no competition for them so they don’t bother with things like this.
Frontier’s F1 Manager 24 looks incredible however that’s a big niche and likely won’t appeal to casual fans as much as this game.
The Ferrari sounds like a modified dirt bike from GTA SA especially when you started of the line lol.

Almost every year since 22 EA Sports F1 basically released copy paste game like 2015. 23 and 24 are no different even 23 is one of the great games we see in a while.
The sounds are Still High Pitched like F1 22, but it’s definitely an improvement from Last Year. That Ferrari sounds Perfect
F1 22 has accurate sounds. And in F1 23 and in this game they are high pitched.

I don't know why buy they look like the First V8's (2006/2007 era) when they hit maximum raves
In my opinion, I've seen that you can't expect the slightest level of competence from EA in simply making a sound like real life, even with all the access facilities they have, they still keep inventing new car sounds every game completely out of the box ( at most close, still far from what is expected due to the ease and freedom it has with the F1 product), for the same engines as always and it never gets to the real point, it goes to my taste to say which one I liked the most and just like EA , screw reality, right? Anyway, I think F1 22 had all the flaws you'd expect from EA, but I LOVED the deeper sound of the car sounds in that game. In F1 23 and especially now in F1 24, this high-pitched sound (especially Ferrari that I honestly even took off my headphones and skipped to the next engine sound, very shrill) over time becomes sickening to hear.

But I think that in F1 22 they at least came closer than that bunch of invented sound that was the F1 23 and especially now with the F1 24. My God, look at the sound of the Ferrari in F1 24, I simply had headphones on hour and I had to pause because it was so stupidly shrill.
The sound is so because of the the game engine the "flucking" 2015 engine😢 i hope they learn for F1 25 to give a "fog" about the old gens
None of them sounds close to real life at all. The closest one to real life is the mercedes engine, but even they somehow fked up the downshifts from last year's to this year
I know it's weird to say, but I think there is a slight difference between '23 & '24...

You have to use the driver option in the audio settings for the onboards and for the exterior broadcast sound I think they did a pretty good job, it’s still not really in sync with the cars inputs but it does sound closer to what the cars do in real life
Do we have a trial version to test before buy? 2023 is difficult to drive with joystick, a lot of understeer

Engine sounds in F1 2021 and Formula One 05 to 06 Championship Edition are still miles more accurate than 24. 23 is very close to real life as well.

Just going to ignore everyone in the comments that are shitting on it and wait until I can try the game myself during the 5 hour free trial period on Tuesday.
People have been pretty negative about every F1 game since EA took over before they've even been released. Better to form an opinion once I've tried it myself than letting videos on RUclips decide my opinion like 99% of people here do.
They're absolutely shit. I remember how accurate the engine sounds were on F1 Championship Edition. EIGHTEEN years ago. Officially licensed product, my backside. Fake HUD, and horrendous engine sounds. Should give the license to someone else.

These are still incomparable to those V10s
On Acceleration it sounds awful, like you will know it's computer generated. Deceleration though, they sound spot on.

Shifting sounds horrid and no idea what they were thinking
And the rb livery is still not matte
Feels like they have gone way over the top with the pitch of high revs, especially with Ferrari, like they are emphasizing the high revs but sounds very artificial. The downshifts are way too quiet. Feels like its gone backwards to last year and the ones before, like 22 was better overall also to me from memory.
I don't know if its the limitations of the EGO engine, or their methods to record the audio irl. But the f2 sounds they nailed it first time (f1 2021). That's what I don't get.

They really have somehow made the Honda engine worse, lowkey I think they nailed it in 2018 and should have built off that. Now it just reminds me of the 2019 engine sounds(like a bee stuck under a bucket)
