@@umbrellacorporation5723 that is just so wrong to compare India with China, India is a success story in every aspect where as China has oppressed and killed million of people to make an unified China. China is only an Economic success. I had a same opinion till the time I worked in Mysore, Chennai, Bangalore, Pune. India's diversity should be celebrated. Not everything that west did and China did is applicable to India. The rich history and culture of every part of India should be preserved and celebrated.

@@umbrellacorporation5723 Culture, language and religion differ so much due to lack of connectivity between people across the world (Imagine a language born 1000 miles away reaching south or north on a large-scale 200 years ago). Mid 20th century is the first time in human history people of different cultures could experience this communication gap being narrowed.
So, If you logically proceed from here the next step should be moving towards a WORLD SOCIETY, and we as INDIANS hosting at least 7 different cultures have the unique opportunity to prove that UNITY IN DIVERSITY is possible and that way we will be the DRIVING FORCE for change and in establishing a world order, which is a feat the US or CHINA or RUSSIA promoting the superiority of their culture will never be able to achieve.
And "unity in diversity" is taking us time to achieve DUE TO jealous and narrowminded people trying bring back the former glory which was lost centuries ago instead of looking forward optimistically, and comparing our nation to single-minded dictatorships.
And the countries you mentioned have committed atrocities (china-Xinjiang, Tibet, Russia- Hello, Stalin, USA - what happened to native Americans?, UK- African tribes massacre, jallianwala bagh Japan- Nanjing massacre) which never happened in the history of any culture present in our country. Despite several problems in our country, we handle them way better than the rest of those nations and we are making tremendous progress by getting over our differences.
THE DAY WILL COME, WHEN WE ARE ABLE TO UNITE COMPLETELY AND TRULY, THEN, WE WILL BE THE GREATEST NATION IN THE WORLD, BECAUSE WE WILL HAVE SYNERGY BORN FROM A MULTI-CULTURAL SOCIETY AND THE WORLD WILL LEARN FROM US.
So THINK before you call 'something our forefathers believed is the future of a FREE INDIA' as NON-SENSE.

Really feeling very proud to be live in a country with so much diversity
I am Pakistani and my pardada ji served in indian army during 2nd world war and later my dada ji served indian airforce. Later the partition happend and our area fell at another side of the border. In the end of this video i was glad to listen "Duma dum mast kalander" and "Akhiyan udeek diyan" same as we sing them in pakistan. Unfortunately we couldn't become good neighbors but i am hoepful that new generation will not repeat the mistakes we made in past and one day these borders will be friendly as we see in Europe today even after decades of world wars.
