俞调是清代艺人俞秀山所创，“老俞调”代表人物为结义兄弟俞筱云、俞筱霞（杨乃珍的师傅）。由上海市评弹团的朱介生改进成“新俞调”。朱慧珍是俞调的大家，旋律多样、花腔更多。
