Yes, America may look to you as built by '' immigrants'' but its finances are not run by immigrants. The IRS which controls the taxes and the revenue is not in the hands of immigrants.

The Lebanese-Ghanaians are bona fide Ghanaians. They have contributed significantly to the wellbeing of millions of Ghanaians and have always remained in Ghana through thick and thin. It makes no sense differentiating between indigenous and Lebanese-Ghanaians when the Lebanese Ghanaians have always considered themselves more Ghanaian than not.
Most Lebanese-Ghanaians were born in Ghana or came to Ghana as infants and feel very Ghanaian in every way; the likes of Harry Zakkour, Faisal Helwani, the Irani Brothers, the Kalmonis, the Sangaris, the Sinares etc have all been great Ghanaians. Perhaps, people here may want to celebrate them rather than consider them as foreigners.
Ghana is very similar to the Caribean countries of Haiti, Jamaica, Trinidad, and Guyana South America) were the richest businessmen are Lebanese, Syrians, and Indians. The Lebanese are te top businessmen in the Ivory Coast too

Most of Ghanaian owned companies fold up when the founder dies. The lebanese and Indians have very good succession plans. Their children dont fight over company properties, who should be in charge, etc to eventually kill the company. The indian and lebanese companies are still being run by their sons. Look at Mechanical Lloyd, when the founder died the children bankrupted the company. Though it was listed on the stock exchange its no more.
We don't even have an actively tradable stock market I can open an app to buy stocks. Shameful.
I think these families want to keep the wealth and control of the companies within the family.

That's the reason why i always say "There's Another Way". We Ghanaians have missed the way to success and wealth creation. It's not only about degrees, politics and positions in government but some education and entrepreneurship. It's time we re-direct our education towards TVET and Entrepreneurship. Academic Education has failed us.

There're some wealthy Lebanese-Ghanaian families in Ghana but you left out wealthy native Ghanaian families like the Jonah family, the Ampofo Family, Despite Family, Addo Kufuor Family.
