Oh Jung Se's performance definitely counts as one of the best performances I've ever seen. This series is all about healing. It healed me a little as well.
The depiction of Sangtae by Oh Jung Se feels so true to life. Obviously every autistic person is different but as one myself we are so used to really bad depictions (Sia's weird movie and The American version of the Good Doctor come to mind) that it feels comforting that they did a good job. Sangtae feels like someone I would know, sometimes he feels like me and like... I know that I don't have to explain how important representation is to you or this community. There's a lot of debate about non-disabled people playing disabled characters (which i will leave to people that know more about such things) but Oh Jung Sae's depiction of Sangtae... it feels like he put a lot of effort in that other people might not have. The writers really did a good job of making him a person too and there not being too paternalistic a tone.
Sorry for this novel of a comment lol I just... idk this and Extraordinary Attorney Woo were shows that I could make my family watch and help them understand me in a way that they couldn't previously. I cried like every episode of Attorney Woo because when have we ever gotten a likeable, female, autistic, competent main character? When did disabled characters get love stories with people that aren't depicted as a weird sort of charity work?
I think that both shows and 'It's Okay That's Love' another show about mental health, trauma, found family and love really helped me in overcoming my own stigma about my mental health problems and autism.
My rant is over now. lol I hope anyone that read this has a nice day.
i forgot about that scene at the end with sangtae and munyeong, ‘the real moon sangtae’. i’m tearing up, i adore these two and how they’ve both grown through these episodes.
The last four episodes are definitely a roller coaster ride but it’s a ride that’s well worth it to get to the ending . Great reaction again really enjoying it
Your right about the pain coming up so prepare yourself 😭. It was so bad for me that I couldn’t bring myself to rewatch the drama but it does pay off.

The look Sang-Tae gave Moon-Yeong when she said they would go take pictures anyway even if Gang-Tae didn't go was so good. It was a look of surprise, delight, acceptance and comfort. He realized that she really did want to be with him and that it wasn't just Gang-Tae who would be there for him and it wasn't her manipulating him so she can be around Gang-Tae. They are truly a family.
This is such a heartwarming episode with such tradgedy! Love you reactions
48:03 while I 100% with toxic is toxic, I don't think the message was your family is still your family. KMY is not someone who follows rules, so we know this is how she really feels. I think this speaks more for her character, as despite everything, KMY is capable of unconditional love.
