      It was decidedly my favorite off the album almost from the first moment I heard it. I can't really articulate why, precisely... but it just "gels" together musically so completely. Not to say, by any means, the rest of the tracks *don't* ... but this one just does it better. It all slots together so effortlessly and completely it blows my mind every time I listen to it. And yeah; they are masters of using "empty space". They've been doing it from the very beginning, and don't think we haven't noticed!!!

    Really enjoy your reactions, especially to The Warning! Thanks for stressing the importance of Live shows, merch and Patreon. What these women are doing for the rock genre needs to be supported. I'm a member of their Patreon myself, and I can tell you it is a great time to join! They are currently releasing a lot of live vids from their 10th anniversary show at the Pepsi Center. The Pepsi Center show was amazing. Well worth the cost to see those vids early, before they are released on youtube!

    The beauty with The Warning is that they have thousand of patron on Patreon, so they are assured a monthly revenue, which alleviate the pressure and this is why they fought for 7 months with the label before signing.

      @MTH58 4 месяца назад +2

      Last time I checked about 6 months ago they had about 3,500 supporting Patrons within Patreon. The most, by far, of any band playing original music on the entire Patreon music platform. And if I recall, there’s more than 14,000 Patreon accounts within the Music category. The only “music” accounts with more subscribers, of which there is only about 10, are either reactors or providing lessons.

    DPA have been blowing my mind for about 7yrs now with their music, community and inspiring so many people to do what you love. It would be a crime if you missed out on the beginnings of a band some of us TWA have been supporting called Freeze The Fall. They did an Evolve cover that got me to their channel and their originals got me subbed, joining their kickstarter and now patreon.
    Freeze The Fall are Quinn 17yo guitar/vocals taught herself Dany's parts from QOTMS album at 11yo, Aria 15yo bass/vocals and Jonah 16yo drums.
    After their debut single Glitch dropped 604 Records contacted them and eventually signed a distribution only deal keeping full control of their music allowing reactors to react without issues and pop in and say hi. if you get blocked they will fix it as no one has that right but FTF.

    My interpretation of what you are trying to say, which I agree with in your comments is, that they write and play the same way band like Three Days Grace, Seether, Chevelle jammed in the beginning stages of the Alternative Rock movement. In this song I even hear some No Doubt style of play. I love this band for that exact reason, they seem to have picked up Rock Music to where it would of headed prior to Rock becoming second to Rap or Hip Hop as the main genre in music. After a little research, it looks like artists get around $3,000 - $4000 per million streams, not enough but not as bad as your figures. I do agree with your emphasis on supporting them any way you can, every bit helps and shows appreciation.

    • @ArabManReacts
      @ArabManReacts  4 месяца назад +1

      It depends on a lot of factors including where the streams are coming from and the size of the contract with the labels. 3-4k for a million views would be right for RUclips but for Spotify etc.. it’s a less than that. I’ve got around 10 million streams collectively on my music across all platforms and they’ve made me about $500, granted most of those streams are from covers.

      @@ArabManReacts You definitely have more insight personally, I would think since they have around 1 million monthly listeners that they would do better. A guitarist on RUclips and Spotify said he earned $41,000 from 10 million streams, so it does show there is a wide range. I do think that they aren't earning what they should given their talent, but they are smart and have a good team around them.

    Like the rest of the album, The Warning had cowriters on this song. This one was with the band Holy Wars, made up of Kat Leon and Nick Perez. Nick is a beast of a guitarist, and I suspect he had a hand in the direction of Dany's guitar solo. Kat is a wonderful songwriter, and one hell of a performer. I saw Holy Wars on tour with The Warning, and they know how to amp up a crowd. When I see The Warning later this month, Holy Wars will once again be opening, and I hope that The Warning invites Kat to perform "Satisfied" with them. If you're curious about them, try "Body//Temple" or "Deux Ex Machina".

    Great points about supporting the artists.
    Which I type as I am wearing my The Warning hoodie, looking at my 4 Warning CDs with the tickets to their show in Cleveland. Been a patreon member for almost 2 years now.
    I just wish I had more money available so I could bump up my membership level.
    These ladies have brought me so much joy for the last few years, it is amazing.

    Picking up on the negative space comment, it's just the natural follow on from, 'It's not what you play, it's when you play it.'

    Another great reaction, thank you. I really like your commentary as someone who has been in the musical trenches of live performance. This is one of my favorites from the KMF album along with Consume, which I think is an underrated track.

    I think the fact that this song has fewer views than some of the other songs from KMF has less to do with the quality of the song itself. When compared to most of the other songs on the album, it is a bit of a sleeper. Like many of The Warning's earlier songs with the same virtues, "Satisfied" grows on you over time. Still, I can't wait for you to react to "Apologize" and "Sharks". No need to let these two grow on you. They hit from the first moment. Glad you came back to The Warning. Looking forward to the next time.

    ‘Satisfied’ is my top 3 track in this album. It’s not as heavy but the arrangement is so good. It has my favorite pre-chorus. It’s one of Ale’s favorite, Pau favorite harmonies and Dany went whammy happy. Thank you for coming back to reacting to TW. Looking forward to the next one. Hope all is well. 👍🏼
    And thank you for mentioning about the streaming business. I have the same thoughts so I do buy their music / merch (and other music), both physical and online.

    Ticketmaster in the US (maybe even Canada) scam the hell out of bands and venues and fans. That is why there is a US FTC lawsuit against Ticketmaster. So band unless they can circumvent Ticketmaster end up not making much on concerts.
