I don’t think it’s body shaming when people are genuinely concerned. I think she’s emotional because deep down she knows it’s an issue but isn’t ready to admit it.
Even if y'all claimed you were so called concerned y'all need to mind y'all business and worry about you because she has her own life!!! Mind y'all business!!!
If you’re genuinely concerned, it’s more supportive to offer kindness without making it about her appearance. For example, 'I hope she's doing well,' or 'I’m sending her love and support.' This keeps the focus on her overall well-being without emphasizing her body x
But y’all ain’t concerned “Fans” have always been mentioning everything they find “wrong” about her body along with other celebrities It’s time to worry about your own health. She’s not a baby she’s literally in her 30’s; I’m pretty sure she knows her health more than y’all.
I really think most people just want the best for her. She just looks too thin currently. This is just a concern and has zero to do with any body shaming. Just concern.....
That's the thing, we don't really have a say to what is the best for her because we don't know her personally. It's understandable that some people are just concerned that she looks thinner, but being thinner shouldn't be a bad thing. We just need to stop having the perception of what looks healthy physically should be like this and that. Why do we have the entitlement on what should look normal/healthy for her? That is just a boundary we shouldn't cross. She looks happy and lively in her interviews, I think that should matter the most.
@@youbutterbelieve OK, when you just do not see her being way too thin to be healthy anymore we can stop talking. People should be glad its being noticed in stead of being ignored, at one point it will be too late....
@ Sure. People’s concern can still come across negatively even if said in a positive light. People’s body change as they grow older. Her body doesn’t look anorexic. I know people who’s body looks like hers but they are healthy. It’s her body for her to only be concerned about. Didn’t she say in the video how people are comparing her body to her younger one where she was in a lot of anti depressants?? She didn’t feel healthy.
@@youbutterbelieveu clearly aren’t educated on the topic. the way she appears is an elephant in the room, triggering to others, and obviously a huge red flag on her mental state. Her ex reportedly was bullying her about her weight before all of this started. I think the way she is forced to appear in Wicked is also a huge take away from control she has over herself by changing major parts of her appearance like hair color and needing to play the role of someone she isn’t. EDs are about control, and combined with her history of EDs and the huge demand of her work now… it’s allowing her to achieve negative goals. It’s easy to miss eating with a high work load then go to sleep. But if there was any interest in being a healthy weight she could factually take in supplements and easily maintain. She is fully aware of what is going on with herself
Denial is a part of any eating disorder or addiction. It’s actually quite common to hide behind the “nobody should feel comfortable commenting on my body” statement or call rightfully concerned individuals “body shamers.” People with eating disorders commonly go into victim mentality when their eating disorder is attacked. You’ll always have people saying you are too thin or too fat as a celebrity, that’s the nature of the business but when you have hundreds of thousands of people screaming at you that you look unwell and are not healthy it’s time to pay attention. Unless she is battling a health condition that we don’t know about or is using drugs that cause weight loss, this is unhealthy. Let’s not forget how Mary Kate Olsen acted when she was battling an eating disorder. She and her sister repeatedly had the same defense of her. SNL even allowed her to be in a skit where people were telling her to “eat a sandwhich.” Nicole Richie and Lindsay Lohan also had eating disorders and has the same reaction to the public concern. All three of these women later admitted their eating disorders. The problem with Ariana is that she is a role model to young women and girls. If they see an actress that thin that says she is healthy, they want to be that thin as well and feel like failures when they can not achieve that healthily. We’ve come a long way in representing what a healthy body looks like to the younger generations and artists like Ariana take us back to square one. No one in America with millions of dollars should have a chest plate and visable bones like that. It’s a problem. Be a woman and go and deal with it and come back and speak openly on it and be an example.
Ariana is Grown Ass woman and you are nobody nor is society to tell her what is best for her! If she says she’s ok and she happy with the way she looks why can’t y’all just accept it? Ya’ll want these celebrities to be perfect so badly it’s SICK! She is a Human Being! And she deserve the Respect that y’all don’t give her! If y’all want to be concerned then y’all chose to do that! But as long she has the people in her life by her side that love her and tell her she’s beautiful y’all opinions don’t matter!
"You’ll always have people saying you are too thin or too fat as a celebrity, that’s the nature of the business" but why should it be?? Just because she's famous that doesn't mean that she should be treated differently to you or me. Also she didn't say anything about being healthy, she just said that the body people are comparing her to was when she was at her unhealthiest: that's not the same as saying that she is perfectly healthy right now... She admitted in the past that when she's very stressed she loses her appetite: I'm exactly the same and when you are as petite as we are it really only takes like 3 or 4kg of weightloss to start looking way too thin... and when that happens people's commenting on my body doesn't make me feel supported: it just makes me even more aware of how much people judge my body, which in turn makes me more stressed, which makes me lose my appetite yet again, which makes me lose even more weight... I'm 100% sure she would manage to deal with this a lot faster if people like you could stop pretending that you care about her, while also claiming that it's ok for celebrities to be judged for how their bodies look...
Just the fact that you say "be a woman, be an example" shows you actually don't care about their health. And the comments people made were AGAINST her and not showing worry for her health.
I’m not sure why body shaming always has to come into these discussions. I’m not even really talking specifically about Ariana . Anyone you know in your life that you see has either gained an unhealthy amount of weight or lost an unhealthy amount to the point that it’s affecting their daily life should be addressed by the people they love and that love them. It’s not about judgement; it’s about real concern about someone you love. It would be the same if they had a gambling or drug addiction. Now you can’t force them to quit. But you can tell them you love and care for them and wish them to get well. I think to ignore the problem is more detrimental.

Don't want people talking about your body and your health? Then don't become a celebrity because it's part of the job description. @@oh2994 i disagree. this is a dream role for ari and cynthia and to think they won't cry after filming wraps and they get to talk about the journey to create the movie is just clueless in my opinion. as someone who has HAD an eating disorder, these comments do not help and i don't think it's our place to say. cynthia has been extremely fit and muscular, theyre both 5 ft tall and tiny. and i think it's admirable that cynthia and ariana got so close during filming, because it translated on screen as well.
Concern is fair, but are internet comments really going to make the difference? They have real people on their lives supporting them, commenting is not what will make the difference
In my teen years to young adulthood, I used to eat 3-4 times what the average person eats daily, with her current body. No vomiting or anything. Just an hour of exercise per day. Some people just have that body, and to say there’s an obvious condition, like all the people who kept telling me back then to eat more because they thought I was anorexic and they assumed I wasn’t eating, or vomiting, is not okay. No one wants concern when we aren’t starving ourselves, because it makes us feel insecure for having the body type that we have. The only thing that changed that was pregnancy. Now my body looks normal, but I actually felt better before. Now people assume I’m healthy when I don’t feel good. And this is why you all should just mind your own business.
People are body shaming her, most of the ones calling her ugly are men who’d ironically sleep with her if they could and jealous women who would secretly be happy to be her.
i’m not shaming her but it’s genuinely concerning how skinny she is. i’m saying that as someone who’s always been naturally skinny, you can’t see the bones in my chest. i’ve only ever seen that on anorexics and there’s no way that’s healthy
exactly. I knew a VERY thin girl growing up but she looked completely different to anyone who was thin in an unhealthy way. She still had muscle and her bones weren't visible. She was just naturally (but uncommonly) very thin.
And keep your concern to yourself. Ariana is a very rich woman with the best health care providers. If they say she is fine she is fine. If they say she isn’t… well that is then none of your business and she is going to work on it by herself with the help of her friends and family. Everything else is just harming more.
@jeffishort Cry me a river. A girl famous for her looks get criticed on her looks, get over it. She look sick, very sick and people need to know this is not beauty but unhealthyness.
I think there’s a fine line with how much people should comment or express their concern. I’ve had people comment about my weight all growing up too and I was always skinny. Even when I was a child!!! Get over yourself, people. It’s none of your business. You aren’t Ariana’s friend or even in her social circle. Your comments just add fuel to the fire. I understand where she is coming from bc at one point I lost weight (I was pretty skinny already) and my mom kept commenting at how great I looked. I barely ate. I would eat a bean burrito that would last me the whole day. I was depressed but I didn’t even know it. My mom had to buy me new clothes bc I was so skinny. I dropped down a size and a half and I had been the same size since I was the age of 14. This was when I was 21. I never gained the freshman 15. If she is struggling with mental health, the comments aren’t helping. She’s a performer/ actress. Did it affect her performance? No.
None of your business to be concerned. She has her own awareness and family, friends. I mean what if she is going through health issues and doesnt wanna be reminded by it? Well your concern is definitely not helpful. This concern bs is just some negative ego disguise as like i said, she has her own ppl
I get that you have personal attachment to this issue and very strong opinion about it and it's for that reason you explained that it's important people checking on your well being when it physically manifests with your appearance. Should she be mocked and ridiculed? Absolutely not. But people having concern and voicing it is healthy and shows that they care. Pretending that nothing is wrong is not the answer and often leads to dire consequences.
To me I don’t understand how strangers on the internet think their input is more important than her doctors . She’s a celebrity and has access to the best medical professionals. If she is struggling with health problems linked to her weight than it is none of our business.
I think most people are just worried for them both. They came out of this looking like they'd been through a famine. With the way actors and actresses are treated (think the dehydration and near starvation men are put through for shirtless scenes...or Judy Garland being pushed to take "diet pills") it's a valid concern. I've seen some hateful comments, but mostly it's been people worried and wondering what happened here.
Ariana Grande is and always will be a beautiful and talented woman. However, people do have great reason to be concerned over her rapid weight loss! Not only did she lose a large amount of weight in a short period of time but she looks very malnourished. Maybe she’s rationalizing it in her head and doesn’t see the problem, but she’s sending an extremely dangerous message to girls and women around the world that this is “healthy”. Not only is it visible to the eye that something is wrong, but there has also been reports of her refusing to eat on the set of wicked, so I don’t see by any means that this should be viewed as normal. I understand that she has always been a petite girl, but seeing how her bones are practically visible and now that she’s allegedly refusing to eat is more than enough to conclude that she’s clearly struggling. She needs to stop pretending that any of this is healthy, especially considering that a large portion of her fan base are young girls. Nonetheless, I do emphasize with her and hope she seeks the help she needs and gets away from anyone enabling her to believe that this is normal.
It’s okay to be worried, but to Be spreading it online isn’t okay. Even if she was dealing with it and actually has an Eating disorder you guys would be making it worse.

I love Ariana but she looks unwell. I understand it is tough to have people comment on appearance, but she at least looked healthy the last few years compared to now when she had more weight on her. I hope that she continues to heal as she really has been through a lot.
But also.... People can find middle ground and be tactfully and respectfully concerned. I think the interviewers question and her answer were edited a tad bit as well.

Ari is a victim of the music industry but she’s also played a significant role over the 10 years in perpetuating its harmful narratives simply through her compliance. (Eg. She doesn’t want to be subjected to endless beauty standards but she’s also helped to establish them by participating in the performance). She is and has been the beauty standard that many young women have compared themselves to.

@@pandaamachine The reason she said that was because nearly all Antidepressants can cause you to gain weight… it’s one of its side effects. The reason it became unhealthy for her was because she was drinking on them too and this was a super stressful time for her.

She's breaking down because she is unwell and needs help that she can't find by just leaving her alone. Not addressing the fact that she is unwell and insisting she is just being Arianna won't lead her to the help she clearly needs. Karen Carpenter's needs were not addressed, nor were those of Maria Callas or Lena Zavaroni. Surely we can do better than this in 2025.
The argument of the public not having something to say instead of just her close friends and family is ridiculous. She's a public figure, she should expect commentary from the public that she constantly presents herself to. Unfortunately that's not all going to be positive or respectful, but that is the nature of interacting with the public. Even us ordinary folk deal with it with social media. People making nasty and demeaning replies to the comments we make. Most of us are guilty of that same behavior as well.
Oh please, the interviewer says “how do you cope with always looking perfect” when she can clearly see she DOES NOT LOOK PERFECT BUT SHE LOOKS SICK. She is sick and she doesn’t want to accept it. She looks like death is around the corner but she’s the only one who can help herself. We don’t need to be pandering to her or telling her what to do.
The amount of hate and harassment celebrities get these days by bullies is making me lose all faith in humanity. It’s disgusting that celebrities are not treated like human beings. Everyone is so focused on trying to knock them down. They are people. They feel pain from people’s harsh words. It’s just sad there are so many people out there so emotionally stunted that they say such thoughtless and cruel words about their fellow man 😢 losing hope in people.
Exactly because people are getting involved in her personal life and her relationship it’s really none of our business celebrities are regular people and people need to leave celebrities alone. What goes on behind closed doors is none of our business and if we they were doing these things and one famous people wouldn’t care when you’re celebrity people love the drama. People need to mind their business their lives don’t affect us. How’s that our problem?
The idolising and mimicking of celebrities is part of the issue here. If it was a non-celeb, I’d wholeheartedly agree, mind your own business. BUT - due to the way celebs are placed on a pedestal and idolised by the young. And their role in unwittingly forming beauty standards - the issue at play here is less about Ariana the person and more about what she represents as a symbol or ideal that others look up to. I’m not saying it’s right that people mimic celebs, but it does seem to be the way it is. Any comment on Ari’s health is speculative. However, if you apply the general rule of thumb that a healthy weight is when ‘you can feel the bones, but not see the bones’ it’s clear you can see ari’s bones particularly on her ribcage. Why is this the case? We will likely never know. Is this normal or healthy? Objectively no - but it’s not really my business. So where’s the concern? The only concern I can see is that by refusing to acknowledge the REALITY of visible bones you run the risk of normalising something which would be very unhealthy to normalise. What’s more damaging? Saying that having low weight where bones are visible is unhealthy. Or saying ‘ohno, you do you boo’, publicly protecting ari, and in turn publicly normalising something which could be quite detrimental to impressionable young minds who imprint everything off celebrities.
The secondary issue here is that we live in a society that judges people (and particularly women) on the way that they look and that this is devastatingly superficial and painful to be on the receiving end of. People like Ariana have made their money largely off the way they look and it’s not surprising that creates immense pressure to maintain approval and pain that the validation is hugely conditional. Just look at the cosmetics industry. Marketing is constantly asking women to ‘improve’ themselves, creating and then targeting insecurities. The issue is a societal one. It’s complex and not easily solved by a quick answer.
why r yall showing pictures from victorious when shes talking about the antidepressants... shes talking about 2019 especially during sweetener world tour

Very well put. You said what we all, besides her cheerleaders, were thinking.
She doesn’t have an eating disorder
0:50 really? She wasn’t talking about that body. She was talking about like 2018/2019
I’m not sure why body shaming always has to come into these discussions.

These two women bring out amazing strength and vulnerability in each other. I enjoy watching interviews with them.
Wow her normal voice at first then it changed
It’s not just her weight people are concerned about. It’s keeping their husbands away from her as well.
u believe anything it was a rumor, wake UP
That was debunked. Sounds like you want her to fail.
@ I don’t want her to fail. I want her to start dating men that are legally single!
@@explorewithefrain7305 it was debunked lol and why dont you go after him and accuse him of cheating instead of always blaming the women
Hahaha! This comment is gold! ❤️
Oh my days she explained. The best she can do is to simply not give a f@ck lol😂. Everyone is gonna talk about you. Like it or not. You can control it.
Bless her heart
People need to stop body shaming her. She is Beautiful inside and out!! Dont listen Arianna Grande. I have been shamed for being fat as a teenager. I had a eating disorder from it. Now I am 58 years old. If i could talk to my younger self. I would say dont listen to people body shaming you. Your beautiful no matter what size you are!!!
That's the thing, your not XD.
Your either unhealthily obese or unhealthily thin.
It really is displeasing to know these people have such health problems and yet say stupid things like "I'm the healthiest I've ever been".
Don't get me wrong I ain't picky with women, they can be thin or curvy but not skinny and obese.
I'm 16 by the way, so this is a child's point of view. And judging by the comments of most "adults" I'm far ahead of my years.
I'm sorry you were shamed as a teenager. I was shamed as a young child for being morbidly obese. Weighing 62KG at a height of 5'1.
I hit my growth spurt and I'm now 6'4 and 92kg of mostly muscle since I've actually turned it around, going to the gym and eating healthy, non processed foods.
Fat and dangerously skinny people have NO excuse
Poor ariana i supporting you forever i love you 😢😢
I think her weight is dangerously low and we not hurting her .She is alreat hurting and we are genuinely concerned.
Weve seen this on many celebs before and its not good.
She's had a lot of work done
She does looks different than before
I am so sick of celebrities who are famous saying "that's no ones business" when you made your fortune off of attention and fame. You CHOSE to be a performer and get paid obscenely for it. You don't get to decide how much of an opinion the general public is allowed to have when you chose the spotlight. Should people say nasty, hurtful shit? No, thats a different story. But you can't decide you dont want attention when attention is exactly what pays for all your fancy stuff.
True. She knew what she was getting into. Yes it’s wrong for people to talk bad about other people but that’s what comes with the job of being famous whether they like it or not
If you put a picture of her 15 year old self next to her now, you wouldnt think she is the same person
She's had face work done. The nose is completely different. Even the skin looks tight or pulled away from her eyes. She no longer looks natural.
Yes, she's always been petite. But this is frail, old lady skinny.
My god With all the horror going on in the world, you get these pathetic duo sat there bleating on.....
If no one says anything, then it's "Nobody Cared!" . If they comment on it, "mind your business". Yet, here we are commenting on a topic the interviewer asked, which was answered by the one person that was meant to answer the question. Then theres dumb airheads that think having an opinion is just wrong lmao.
I really love the way Cynthia shows her support towards Ariana. A true friend indeed. ❤
But let’s be honest she didn’t look good or healthy
She is a role model! She is pushing out that this is her at her best! So girls are going to starve themselves to look like her! I am also fired up! So I don't give one shit how she feels or doing or how she looks. But she is a role model and pushing out that this is what girl's need to look like! NO
And then Angelina same same! STOP! our girls needs to be shielded from this body standards!
Not wanting her to end up as the next Karen Carpenter is not negativity or body shaming
You fool!!!! It literally is - people who have body image issues compare themselves to others - and what your doing is literally doing the comparing for her by insinuating that she will be or is anorexic - you don’t care about Ariana, your veiled attempt at concern is just a way to throw judgment her way to appease your sense of false morality
I agree with you 💯
soulless eyes
Ok I understand not body shaming, but the question us indeed STILL? WHYYYY if she so skinny!? It looks unhealthy!
She’s just not eating from the guilt of doing something so shameful to another woman, Lilly Jane.
Yes, it must be so hard to look like her😒
she’s going to say she’s natural. No she’s either is not eating or doing drugs .
Is she gonna get emotional addressing sleeping with that married man or we’re still pretending that didn’t happen? It’s the stress girlie , you know you don’t look well or it wouldn’t make a difference what ppl think.
Btw that was all debunked the times lines add up that they already divorced before that, also page 6 took back everything they said and they even stated that The things on the article weren’t true.
she never did. fake news. wake up
@@tylaurasno1stan sure that's not what the wife said.
@@Raineditsx so ethans wife is a liar then? wake up
@@AyeChiMama-r7f no she never said that in the first place 🤦♀️ Page six made that up. Page 6 is known to Spread false information.
It’s ok everyone, she’s only one version of Glinda. You don’t have to be that skinny to epitomize the true Glinda character. For whatever reason the director in this instance decided the best and most real Glinda must be this tiny, thin, small unlike any other.
To say it's body shaming is false it's worrisome. That's why people are commenting. I have nothing malicious to say about Arianna her music is fantastic. But to say to leave them alone while they are role models for little children there's dolls made of their characters for children that's when it's dangerous. I guess if paw patrol suddenly got skeletal you would just turn a cheek
When i see her i see her she is a beautiful woman.
Arianna is a sweetheart ❤
Words cant hurt you unless you allow them too lovely.
You are beautiful. Healing from your past traumas is always the answer to living healthy and happy. Your past co workers have spoken up. Its your turn. The big guy cant hurt you anymore. Sending you ❤ bushels of hugs!
can y'all please leave this woman alone
0:40 "no one has the right to say !@#!"
Literally everyone has the right to say it, freedom of speech is not a right given by the government, it's a human right acknowledge by the government.
That being said, this sounds like denial, I hope for the best for these ladies, whether I agree with them politically or not
People in Hollywood are way too emotional. We don’t believe you anymore, cry at home like the rest of us and not on social media or TV!!!
this, these people are the worst and the ones defending them are even worse off, just a circle jerk of narcissism
