A police officer only has 1/2 a second to shoot or be shot. In some cases the police officer has the option of getting cover, in which they can say why did you not take cover and allow a situation to mature. Cover should always be used!!! This gives, space, time and perspective as well as protection for a favorable outcome. The issue is that when police are involved in a chase. They no longer have cover. Therefore they are compelled to act with deadly force the movement they see a gun in the hand. This is also the case in close quarters. As soon as physical aggression is made towards the police, then its just a matter of time before shots will be fired. Another miss conception. Police are public servants. I believe the real answer is NO. Police are the enforcement of the law. No matter who you are, when you are in a confrontation with police. You are effectively in a confrontation with the law. The law is unyielding, its nobodies servant. (Protect and serve a violent criminal, this woman is out of her mind) Another miss conception. Police are not obliged to protect. They can chose not to intervein, this means choosing not to use guns.
People working in law enforcement are always between a rock and a hard place. Of course someone committing a crime is a human being. Nobody thinks otherwise 🤦♀️ but they make that leap into crime and will often be the reason for a dangerous situation. That is on them, not the police officer. I’m a bit tired of all this energy being put into an offender’s rights.
I was under the impression that armed officers went through additional rigorous psychological testing. If that is correct, then I would suggest that it's much less likely to see incompetence. I say this in comparison with regular police whose testing process seems wholly inefficient based on who slips through the net.
If I remember correctly wasn’t there a firearm in the car on the back passenger floor ? But it didn’t turn out to be real, how is that officer suppose to know with that if your holding what looks to be a real firearm and police are chasing you giving commands expect to end up in a forever box ⚰️

Yes the gangs have guns and British terrorists usually use knives so the police would rather win a gunfight against a knife than risk being shot at. Unless its a mentally ill individual with an air rifle at 3am even then it's centre mass rather than the targets legs.

Yes because police get backlash from the courts and judges for doing their job. Their the ones responsible for making the police woke and not actually arresting and jailing people who should be jailed. Like the Rochdale grooming gangs. I said this for years if we had American police her for one week and had 5 huge prisons like El Salkvador have done, crime would go down by a good 85%ish, because there would be consequences for crime not like this, the police are useless, is security officers and Doorman are more protected than the police do prevent crime and we dont even have their powers. We still get backlash but more as a business than a government body.
that police officer must think his a big tough guy now he killed someone all his fellow officers will be giving him great respect for pulling the trigger now he lives off a big fat pension with out a thought of the life he took he showed no regret is as if he had run over a cat or some think
You have no idea what you are talking about. TL suffered mental stress for over ten years because of this shooting. No AFO WANTS to pull the trigger, that's a final resort for when the subject leaves us no choice
They just see a black boy shoot him and think thats fine cos hes a gangster, disgusting, if they have been shot at it’s understandable but they shoot out of judgement fear and arrogance
The publics perception of firearms officers has a lot to do with the way they conduct themselves. In the clips you have shown is the perfect example. They are all behaving like western gun slingers with pistols and ammo strapped to their thighs clasping their automatic rifles to their chests! then when they do go into action they are extremely assertive with the public who are not involved in any criminality! They appear to have no filter so they can distinguish the good from the bad! That attitude is widespread across the police in the UK when they are there to serve the people not to bully and intimidate!
Western gun slingers? This isn’t a personal choice, that is standard equipment for units that do rapid response work. They’re not trying to look a certain way, it’s about having equipment that allows you to do your job properly and respond to whatever situation they may face, be that armed criminals, terrorists or whatever. When they “go into action” they’re extremely assertive because their job is aggressive, crowds act like sheep and need motivating to move sometimes to keep them safe. For the job they do aggressive people are actually desirable. Granted I’ve never been a firearms officer but I’ve done some similar stuff in the military. People need to realise that there are jobs within policing that require that type of attitude and a certain personality for it. The last thing Britain’s police forces should be doing now is bending the knee to even more minorities and snowflakes.

They dont want to bite the hands that feeds them.
Has the SUNS crime editor shat himself?
This matter is so sensitive they had to edit out many sections 😢
Just pack your bags and get a flight and make a new home in another country. Dubai is great. And since moving here there is no personal income tax. Plus Ive seen no crime anywhere! And everyone loves the police here.
9 seconds is a very long itme in firearm response
I'm just glad they're not killing some poor guy pulling out a vape!
Tony xix t go to work that day thinking ge would pull the trigger , police are there to keep us the public safe & Tony xond what he had to do. I dont even think Tony will ever recover from that day mentally , 100% behind Tony & I hope he knows many more are behind him.
All firearms officers should put down their firearms for the next 4 weeks.
Terrorists and gangsters, in some cases can be one and the same thing!!
When they say 'gangsters', do they just mean black men?
Another Supt who shows how out of touch they are. This country is broken.
So I suppose RT wasn’t that much of a party…
(Protect and serve a violent criminal, this woman is out of her mind)
Another miss conception.
R.I.P ENGLAND
I was under the impression that armed officers went through additional rigorous psychological testing. If that is correct, then I would suggest that it's much less likely to see incompetence. I say this in comparison with regular police whose testing process seems wholly inefficient based on who slips through the net.
Scrap the IOPC, Repeal PACE, Disband the CPS(and give charging power and Crown Solicitors back to Police), and get rid of bodycams
British has become a joke
Choudery=diversity hire
Police officers held to account.
Officers investigated by
Officers.
Are we hwading for qualified emunity. We know how that works.
If I remember correctly wasn’t there a firearm in the car on the back passenger floor ? But it didn’t turn out to be real, how is that officer suppose to know with that if your holding what looks to be a real firearm and police are chasing you giving commands expect to end up in a forever box ⚰️
I take it EDI helped her get the job' tick that box' It could mean that the police officers life there comrades lifes and public lives are in danger if they have to debate in there head' Should i shoot this bad person or will i get in trouble' who the heck would want to be a police armed officer..
Yes the gangs have guns and British terrorists usually use knives so the police would rather win a gunfight against a knife than risk being shot at. Unless its a mentally ill individual with an air rifle at 3am even then it's centre mass rather than the targets legs.
What’s you trying to say here mate they the armed police are cowards ?
Wish Peter would drop the stupid line... You have the right to remain watching. Its feeble and frankly cringe.. Bad enough he insists on using that dramatised voice throughout.. Peter.. Chill and just speak as you would if having a conversation not like a narrator of a trailer for a thriller
The criminals better be Muslim extreme helmets
I remember when Mark Duggan was murdered by police "Sweet " was the officer's first word From there a riot engulfed the whole of England, sweet, eh 😊
He had a gun, play stupid games...
@lilyflower91 Mark was not a innocent man but the Police Officer was not his our anyone's Judge
He was a criminal, carrying a weapon, was known to be involved in gun crime and violence, but the race card was used
He could of course worked for a living, paid tax,and earned respect that way
But a certain group want easy money, and respect through fear
@russthebiker Mark was a criminal Yes as for earning respect that's a long story but who gave the firearms officer the right to Execute anyone
@@gullygullible9774 play silly games.ein stupid prizes
What a stupid law this is!.
98% of police do not get found guilty of misconduct, fact.
Held to the highest standard my hole 😅
Yes because police get backlash from the courts and judges for doing their job. Their the ones responsible for making the police woke and not actually arresting and jailing people who should be jailed. Like the Rochdale grooming gangs. I said this for years if we had American police her for one week and had 5 huge prisons like El Salkvador have done, crime would go down by a good 85%ish, because there would be consequences for crime not like this, the police are useless, is security officers and Doorman are more protected than the police do prevent crime and we dont even have their powers. We still get backlash but more as a business than a government body.
look at Ben Dover, hahaha
that police officer must think his a big tough guy now he killed someone all his fellow officers will be giving him great respect for pulling the trigger now he lives off a big fat pension with out a thought of the life he took he showed no regret is as if he had run over a cat or some think
You have no idea what you are talking about. TL suffered mental stress for over ten years because of this shooting. No AFO WANTS to pull the trigger, that's a final resort for when the subject leaves us no choice
😥
13:42 hes learnt nothing silly silly man
Bath lol, I was homeless Nd they didn't let me in their nite shelter
Our police force is falling appart ,look at holland and Austria and sweeden, and ireland job done .We are cotton wool nanny state .
They just see a black boy shoot him and think thats fine cos hes a gangster, disgusting, if they have been shot at it’s understandable but they shoot out of judgement fear and arrogance
How arrogant that tony was he definitely joind up to shoot people hes mad he got prosecuted.
Far from arrogant- he is assertive, as a firearms officer should be

You can't ot will not stop Hamas' weekend week out. And now what with 2ctier policing you want sympathy! Jogvon.
This is propaganda nonsense this show.
well that makes them cowards don't it... go find a sissy job
What a shambles the Police have got themselves into. Throwing their toys out of the pram because they don't want to be held to account 😂😂
They are held to account they are investigated and scrutinised for years after the shooting by the IOPC
Please don’t call the police when you need them or is it you’ve had a few run ins
Oh what tosh. I’ve chatted to a pretty, female officer armed with a Heckler & Koch MP5:slung,across her chest.
I didn’t feel unsafe or scared.
It was like talking to a girl on the street.
I’ve met a pretty,Scottish MOD officer,armed with an SA80 assault-rifle.
Again, had a normal conversation.
I feel more scared in America than I do in Britain with armed-police.
As an American the term “firearms officer” confuses me 😮💨🫤
Arm police are abussive they kick the living shxt out of you my mate was dragged out of his car and beaten so badly he still has black eyes 6 years later he has genuine never looked the same they pulverised him and he didn’t do anything wrong they stopped the wrong person they thought he was someone else he sewed them for thousands rightly so
