RE4 does not even deserves a Remake... Personally I still wonder why is it so loved if it is the game that started the RE decadence that went up to the Hollywood-like RE6
Darkside Chronicles is made of three stories. An original one in South America, one that is basically a "remake" (or a reimagining if you will) of RE2 and a third one that is basically a "remake" of Code Veronica. For now, this part of Darkside Chronicles, which is one third of it, is the closest we got of a Code Veronica remake (not counting the fanmade one)

While I didn't care for this game the first time around( I died, and saved many times!), it grew on me, and has become one of my most treasured titles in the series. I have the 5th anniversary edition that includes the dmc demo. This theme to me is kind of reminiscent of the theme in the halls of the rpd in 2.
I worked in an enormous leisure centre in Manchester, UK And I was humming this tune in one of the empty at the time echoey halls and my friend said “is that mario - the castle bit your miming “ I said no it’s this creepy amazing track from code Veronica called ‘palace of the insaine’ The hall was creepy when it was empty at the end of the night and it was fitting that from then on I mock named the hall “ “ the palace of the insaine “ I always think of that creepy hall when I hear this. Genius composer Absolutely astounding OST code Veronica.
