Oregon Rail Heritage Foundation Brooklyn Turntable Reopening Celebration!!!

- Ooh, we got a HOT video today! Recently, volunteers of the Oregon Rail Heritage Foundation and others worked together to restore the former Brooklyn Roundhouse Turntable, now placed right in front of the enginehouse located here. Southern Pacific 4449 was asked to take in part of being the first steam locomotive to turn on the table for the first time, much to everyone's honor. Today, we'll learn about the Turntable, what they're all about, and how they made this possible. Now, let's head back once more to the Oregon Rail Heritage Foundation Center to celebrate the completion of the new turntable!!

That...was...awesome! It's great to see the turntable operate again after 11 years since 4449 and other locomotives moved to ORHC when the Brooklyn Roundhouse was going to be demolished. Great video!
Congrats ORHC! now we just need 4449 to have PTC installed and find a shortline to run her and 700. The albany and eastern should invite them to their trackage. Its clear they love steam.
And include some 4449 aux tender that now used CP 2816 and some testing speed with PTC system and i wish there a new aux tender for 4449 in this year
@@parmin31 4449's aux tender is just on extended loan to CP. It will get returned after the run down to Mexico
