Great vid! So I actually bought this a while back not knowing about the manual aspect. The issue I've run into is I can't change the aperture on my EF lenses. Is there perhaps an add on to this mount that would enable that?
@@BCStrikeReviewsis this the best option you have/recommend for auto focus functionality? I work in sports and not wanting to break the bank even more after buying a Sony is hard. Let me know if you have any other ideas !
@@campbellberg2790 I don’t have this one personally but I do believe it would be a great buy. All you’re looking for is one that has the focus pins. You can always try to find another if you dont think it will be a good fit.
I have a question… I really hope you could answer 😩 I just bought one so I could use my fisheye lens on my Sony camera. I checked everywhere to make sure it was compatible with my camera and my lenses- and it is supposed to be. It clicks perfectly on to the camera, and the lenses on to the adapter, however whenever I go to shoot a video or a photo, the camera says “Cannot recognize lens. Attach it properly.” I’ve tried everything, turning the camera off and on again, detaching the adapter and detaching the lens, I even took the battery out and put it back in like it says on Sony’s official website. I don’t know what else to do and I’m just looking for somebody that could help 😔
Im not sure which sony body you have but on my a7ii there's an option to "release [shutter ]with out lens", basically lets the shutter fire without a lens attached. I keep this on since i adapted older manual lenses on my camera.
This is simply to allow you to use lenses not intended for your camera mount. Simple as that. If you want all the specs of a normal setup, you’ll need one with focus pins.
Actually there are 2 types of adapters from KnF concept, manual and autofocus. Manual adapter which which it has EF-E written in the body, and there no autofocus pins inside and the Autofocus adapter which it has EF-E IV AF written in the body with autofocus pins inside the adapters. In this review it is obvious that he use the manual adapter.
Why went it focus? Will any other adapter be better for focus?
The focus isn’t great because it doesn’t have contact rings. If you need one that works with auto focus, make sure it has them.
Hi ,
Any good recommendations for Nikon lens adapter to Sony e mount camera? Thanks
It’s the exact design in this video except for Nikon amzn.to/3RqJtWQ

Thanks! Sadly I don’t know what you’d need in order to control the aperture. My best bet would be to get a lens adapter that has autofocus pins
@@BCStrikeReviews Thanks!!
Great video ! But do you know any adapter which has auto focus funcitonality 😢it would be great help ❤
Thanks man! Try this one amzn.to/3MQ6kZg

I’d be doing the same thing for my A5000. So, on your 18-55 efs lens, how do you adjust aperture as that lens only has zoom and focus?
Ty for the review.
Im buying one and the seller said it worked with STM lenses and you said it doesn't.
Well, guess im not buying it anymore
This one in particular can be used with stm lenses but the focus will be weird because it doesn’t have auto focus rings.

How do you control the aperture?
Unless your lens has aperture rings you cant. Not that I know of at least
You should mention that’s there’s no aperture control so you must use the lens wide open.

Apature dont work on a7 iii
Sadly, I’m pretty sure aperture controls only work if the adapter has focus pins. I could be wrong but that’s what I’m thinking
Muito bom! Do Brasil aqui
E o foco automático?
Nó auto focus
No. But you can get one that does.
