Hi My name is Raquel I live in Puerto Rico I just love this pendant tutorial I just wanted to ask you what head pin you use I did do the whole thing except that when it came to remove the pendant from the mandrel it came out can you tell me how to do the head pin. Thank so much for your video keep them coming the easier the better for me. Have a great and bless day
Raquel Reyes Barb made the headpin by balling up Fine Silver wire. You can see how to do this in this free class on our site - www.beaducation.com/online_classes/10-making-your-own-balled-head-pins?cat=4
What a surprise! Your name was my maiden name! My father came from Russia when he was a baby, but I never knew my grandparents. I grew up in Oklahoma City, and I'm a grandmother. How about you?
Would this work with a 2mm mandrel if used thicker wire? Maybe 22 gauge? I'd have to make my own sort of headpin, I know. Maybe just a flattened spiral at the end of 18 gauge or something like that. I know that thicker wire is harder to work with and I tend to work with half-hard rather than dead-soft wire but I think it could work. What's your opinion?
I am not sure which link you are talking about but we go over a few basic links in this class www.beaducation.com/online_classes/17-wire-jewelry-fundamentals Hope this helps :)

You can use any 1mm piece of metal or steel wire. Sometimes you can find a piece of copper wire at the hardware store.
Home depot has a lot of copper wire in all sizes.
